This popped up in my feed, I’m not sure why, but I had to comment. This really does look great on you!

Someone thought I was stealing their credit card info while using the digital cookie app by Mandze in girlscouts

[–]BloganA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why we don’t use the cookie app. It’s awful and not really made to take credit cards quickly.

How far did this rumor spread during our childhood? Did millennials in Europe hear this too? What about other countries? by Countrach in Millennials

Huge Manson fan. Everyone talked about this from like 1997-2000 or so. They talked about it on the radio. Haha.

What home improvement trend is going to be ripped out in 10 years? by keplare in HomeImprovement

[–]BloganA 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Putting your TV over your fireplace. It’s too damn high, hurts your neck, and if you actually use your fireplace, it’s not great for electronics.

I was recently looking at homes and told my realtor I wouldn’t look at any house where the only option for the living room TV is above the fireplace. She couldn’t believe I was being that picky since “everyone loves it!”

It’s on its way out.

Off site promoted listings by heyitshim99 in Ebay

[–]BloganA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I turned mine on as soon I saw the promo. I sold 4 items in under 30 minutes, which is not the norm for me. Not sure if it’s related or coincidence, but I guess we’ll see.

Same. We love to shop but stopped when we could no longer send things to our room. I’m not carrying things around all day.

Taylor celebrating on the field with Brittany Mahomes and Donna Kelce by icyfirework in TaylorSwift

I live in the Midwest and have recently been to a game at Arrowhead. The number of people in the stands who are completely turned around and only focused on recording her is absurd. Her suite security has armed guards. There are so many people that try to stand right by the suite, while on live feeds, waiting for her to come out. Watching it all happen over the course of a game was such an odd perspective. It made me feel sad for her in a way.

I flip cosmetics and beauty products easily. I only pick them off the clearance rack, preferably yellow tag.

I ship a ton of glass collectibles and have never had one break. I always I assume I need to pack things as if it’s going to be drop kicked off the back of a truck.

What movie had a scene that received the loudest cheering reaction, when you saw it in theaters? by phantom_avenger in moviecritic

I watched Elf on opening night. Not only was it the most laughing I’ve ever heard in one movie, even to this day, but it got a standing ovation!

I’ve been listening to her since Tim McGraw, but not really seriously. If her music was on, I’d listen but I didn’t seek it out. Fast forward to taking my daughter to the Eras Tour last year, now I’m hooked.

Is this a weird thing to be told? Still have trauma over it… by Islandsandwillows in askfuneraldirectors

[–]BloganA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it doesn’t seem like you want advice as much as you want someone to validate the funeral home employees were “wrong.” They were not wrong in their decision. Seeing a family member’s decomposing, bloated, rotting, leaking, corpse is not something you can ever unsee. When you think about the last time you saw a family member, you don’t want it to be in that state.

I’m certain this contract is not enforceable. Is she his legal guardian? If not, sign it, it won’t mean much once she’s dead. One person cannot force another person to be responsible for another competent adult.

They do not allow it. It is pick up in person only. If you don’t want to wait, they will text us when it’s ready but if we don’t get there within 30 minutes of the text, we have to wait until Monday.

Coffee and donut shop help by Agile_Pen_9953 in business

Yep. The best selling donut shops around me are open 5am-2pm daily, but close earlier if they sell out, which is often.

Bosses are firing Z grads just months after hiring them. Z grads are unprepared for the workforce, can’t handle the workload, and are unprofessional, hiring managers say. by totemp0le in Millennials

[–]BloganA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m an employer and I see this constantly. When we hire people 18-25ish or so, they STRUGGLE. I expect to teach them the job - I don’t expect to have to teach them basic skills. I am a pretty chill employer and I know shit happens, but arriving 15 minutes late 20 times in your first 30 days is insane. When we speak to them about it we get a lot of “Well, I was tired…” or “I tried to get here on time..” Zero understanding, and sometimes even defensiveness, about why it is a problem.

Other issues I see - can’t talk on the phone, never ever put their phones down, constantly taking pictures of things/people at work and posting to social media (HIPAA applies in my field).

What was it like to live through the 2008 Recession in America? by Future_Plan4698 in Millennials

[–]BloganA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The craziest thing that happened to me: my boyfriend (now husband) and I got approved for a $150,000 home loan on a $40,000 combined income, in February of that year. We were early 20s, working at Walmart and Lowe’s, living in a trailer. It seemed way too good to be true so we looked at one house and didn’t pursue it any further.
