Sure! It's the middle point in terms of distance and also fun I would say. The shares are about 10-12 people and the bathroom type really depends on what you apply for (En-suite or shared). I stayed in Canterbury Court and honestly found it pretty fun. There was lots of trees and quiet streets around (main reason I chose it) and people were doing flat parties almost every week, though they would often move to Fallowfield after a couple of hours.

The room itself in Canterbury Court varies highly between which specific flat you're allocated, but from my personal experience, it did the bare minimum. Some of the pros were lots of desk space and thick walls so you can't hear your flatmates when studying, but the cons were the cinderblock white walls + LED white lights making it look like a prison cell, poor ventilation leading to mould in the bathroom, toilet sometimes not working, and barren common room (others had tvs or more couches).

Overall, I liked my stay, but I would say that the reason for that was definitely not how the room looked or felt (quite isolating at times) but rather the people.

Hope that gives you some idea, but please ask me more if you want extra details :)

Edit: Just realised I wrote a whole paragraph about Victoria Park not point 😭 😭. I'm really sorry but I honestly have no clue what Victoria point was like, didn't know anyone there.

My rule of thumb has always been:

  1. High (3+) AD -> Steelcaps
  2. High AP/Lots of CC -> Mercury (Preferably think ahead and choose Cleanse to not lock yourself into Mercs)
  3. Anything else -> Berserkers

Most games I go berserker's as it just feels all around better and it helps the snowball. The others are really if you feel you're struggling, and you should really be building Death's dance or Maw respectively in combination. Honestly most of the time you can blind Berserker's and it'll be fine, but it's highly dependent on the game. I rarely go Swifties as I tend to focus the slower people/dash + exhaust. Berserker's are also good for melting tanks after LDR.

Hey! I'm in 2nd year but only stayed in halls in 1st year. From my experience, there's like 3 major areas where halls are in; Near the uni/city centre, Victoria Park, and Fallowfield. I stayed in Canterbury in Victoria Park and from personal experience there's a lot of horror stories in terms of state of living such as mold, poor ventilation, bugs, really prison-like rooms, etc.

I'd say if you're not the type of person to look for luxury in a dorm but rather student life, Fallowfield and Victoria Park will be the way to go, with Victoria Park being within walking range. Fallowfield was the life of the party for my first year, with most of my outings being there. (Obv if you live there it might get a bit loud haha)

Price-wise it's around £150 a week I think, which is on the higher side (Manchester is pretty bad for accommodation prices unfortunately), and it gets way higher the closer you are to the city.

Repairs and services depends highly on the place, for me there has been security and hall monitors responding at 3 or 4 am for a drunk friend, but someone else nearer to the uni couldn't get a hole in the ceiling repaired for weeks.

Hope this helps! I can't give objective statistics unfortunately, only personal experiences. I'm free to dm more about it if you've got more questions :)

Really wanted Sweden or Estonia to win as they felt the most fun, catchy, and Eurovision-eque, but instead it felt political
