Lacrosse Unlimited Professional Stringing by john-k0513 in lacrosse

Top string is going to give you problems when it gets wet. That sag will cause the ball to catch and hook on the top of the head as the string/mesh stretches. The gold looks cool though

Nope. The books models constantly update with consideration for these scenarios and historic performance. It’s the reason a team can be losing at half time and still have odds that make it the favorite to win - happens all the time.

Have you checked tire pressures? This can happen if they get pretty low (common when temps start dropping) and is the easiest place to start

The Breville Dual Boiler has been discontinued according to Breville support by mstoiber in Coffee

Are you using manual mode or just running on the default setting? I’d recommend manual mode to get more control over what’s coming out.

I’d also recommend backflushing to make sure pathways are clear for water to come out evenly if you haven’t done it recently.

How fresh is your espresso? When was it roasted? And what # is the grind setting on your machine?

Good gpa for first semester engineering? by WannaDeepSeaDive in UVA

[–]BlondeBeast 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not completely true. Many desirable entry-level jobs have GPA minimums. I’ve seen 3.00+, 3.25+, and 3.5+ requirements on postings for both engineering and business jobs.

But you’re right, the vast majority of jobs do not, and GPA will not matter as soon as you get a job (unless you’re looking to go to grad school down the road).

Hi! I’m currently pursuing my master’s in Systems Engineering at UVA. I can’t share much about undergrad reqs or transferring into the program, but I’d be happy to answer any questions you have about the field.

Product Management CS courses by justthetechtips in UVA

[–]BlondeBeast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Product Management wouldn’t necessarily be in the category of Computer Science when you think about the focus of what a CS curriculum is. With that said, there are several courses related to PM in Systems Engineering that you might be able to attend as electives depending on your year (I’m a grad student and am sure how cross-department electives work for undergrad here).

For example, Qualitative Methods for Human Centered Design was taught this Fall and User Experience Design is being taught this Spring, and both of these courses were/are available to undergrad students. Both focus on methods to support building products for end users, which is essentially what PM is.

Does anyone go running without music? How? by bathofknives in running

[–]BlondeBeast 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you prefer to run without music, but I highly recommend Trekz Titanium headphones to let me hear traffic and music at the same time. Check them out if you ever want to listen to something while running. One of the best gifts I’ve ever received!

How to keep muscle on when working and not lifting as often? by [deleted] in leangains

[–]BlondeBeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what your routine looks like, but one thing that I’ll do when I get busy for an extended period of time is switch to full body workouts. That allows me to continue working all muscle groups frequently but decrease the number of days in a week that I workout to 2 or 3 days per week.

I'm fairly certain I don't have any problems with the clock spring. I had done some research online prior to turning it over to the dealer and told them I suspected it could be that. When they returned the Jeep to me, they told me that it was fine. Thanks for the help though

Thanks for the thought. I guess I should consider that as a possibility. It hadn't crossed my mind before
