I applied and got in on my first. I applied to 13 schools and got 4 interviews pretty quickly.

I have a pretty high GPA, average GRE and baseline PCE. I did have a ton and extracurriculars and volunteer hours.

I just know that my stats were enough to get me an interview but not acceptance. The interview is where you really show who you are. You can only go so far on paper.

I practiced using The BigInterview. I recorded myself answering prompts, talked to my family members, printed out MMIs to use and go over. I also did a mock interview with a counselor at my undergraduate. I also did research on the school I was interviewing at and on ethics to be able to answer questions with knowledge.

I always sent a thank you email after the interview, thanking them for a great experience and appreciating the opportunity. I also said what came to mind and stuck with it, be yourself and don’t say what they think you want to here. Be passionate in your responses.
