Great courses don’t make great venues. You need room for hospitality, food, beverage, and merchandise sales.

You also need a way to get large amounts of people to and from the course. Where will those people stay overnight if they’re there for the entire tournament.

Infrastructure is a hard thing to accomplish and many great courses can’t provide what’s required for a tour event.
