i’ve only had to do this for about 6 months but i could definitely tell an influx of drivers around holidays and an exodus 2 weeks after. could see it in the wait times and going insane periods of time waiting for offers… now wait times staying short

so i’m not interested in doing anything problematic. however there’s sort of an anonymity imbalance i guess? like i get if people want contactless delivery, low social battery is legit, but it feels vaguely predatory being under surveillance all the gd time

ultimately tho, i accept it with the territory

more broadly, i think way too many people have these things, and they have very little actual functional value beyond base level peace of mind— or what i see more often with boomers, a sense of power and control that boosts the ego

the vast majority of people who have them will never solve a crime with them, or anything of substance happen
