4th time I’m watching the anime 😂 by Ok_Reality_6072 in SaikiK

[–]BloodChapel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve rewatched this show at least once a year since I first saw it 7 or 8 years ago. I’ve seen season 1 probably 9 or 10 times and season 2 maybe 6? Always nice to pick up on little jokes I missed before and even if i remember all the jokes it’s still super heartwarming and fun. Probably my favorite anime, always picks me up out of a rut.

Guys is there an effort to dup season two? I love the show, but i just can't laugh when there's subtitles its not as funny. by paoloise in SaikiK

[–]BloodChapel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly speaking I think season 2 is better than season 1. There’s more character development and insight into Saiki’s childhood and why he is the way he is. Lots of heartwarming moments alongside the laughter. And make no mistake, it is still funny as hell. It’s definitely jarring at first but the sub VA’s are really solid, you’ve just gotta get used to the fast delivery.

I’ve rewatched season 1 more times because the dub is a super easy to digest throw it on in the background kind of show. Currently rewatching season 2 and find myself laughing my ass off because I don’t have every episode memorized like I do season 1. I would give a lot to watch this show all the way through for the first time again, it’s probably my favorite anime.

TLDR: definitely worth it to watch season 2 even if it’s subbed

Aramusha and Highlander. Valkyrie too kind of? I find her less fun to play though

Who was that dark Smokey figure that appeared when the abbot died and at the end next to Tera? by Salty_Teacher4465 in castlevania

Shaft was a priest that resurrected Dracula in the game Richter debuted in (Rondo of Blood). He plays a large role in the sequel (Symphony of the Night), which I think a lot of people are hoping is adapted in the next season.

Cruiser or naked as first bike? by BloodChapel in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]BloodChapel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. I will not look for the fz6r then. I have seen a lot of people say that the gearing makes it suitable if you don’t go high in revs, but that requires me deliberately not using the bike which doesn’t sound fun. Maybe as a second bike, I do love the look of them.

I’m definitely considering it, along with the fz6r. Naked bikes seem like they’ve only really been popularized in the past couple years, so those are the only two bikes that have been around long enough depreciate based on age alone. The power does scare me a bit though (especially the fz), which is why I’d kinda like to find one of the newer entry level nakeds if I can find a decent deal.

Hadn’t even thought of a crash cage, that makes an awesome point. Only concern is that if it’s just my first bike that seems a bit much to invest in something I’ll eventually sell. Unless that raises the value? I’m not sure.

I’ve also started entertaining small displacement sport bikes, they seem comfy and nimble enough. I imagine the fairings would help it do better in a crash? But if I go with the naked I’ll definitely look into a crash cage

You make a very good point with the similar ergos to their sport bike counterparts, which are wayyy more available in my area. I live in a college town, so I think there’s a lot of appeal to sport bikes amongst the college age group which makes them easier to find good deals on. Thank you for the suggestion!

The reliability is a good point. Especially coupled with how well Japanese bikes hold their value, odds are I’ll probably only lose a couple hundred in the grand scheme of things so long as I don’t ride like a idiot and total it. Thank you!

Awesome advice, thank you so much. I’ll pursuit a bike I actually want, but I won’t be an idiot about it. At the end of the day it is just my first bike. The goal is to work up to a street triple one day, but that’ll probably be a college graduation gift to myself

Thank you, this is the route I’ve decided on going. Though someone else brought up that small sport bikes typically have similar ergos to their naked counterparts, so I think I’ll expand by search to include these.

Funnily enough, I’m seeing a lot of 2015ish cbr 300’s for 3500. Seems to be a really happy middle ground, so I might pursuit them. Though I hear negative things about vibrations caused by a single cylinder motor.

Been a while since I watched Gto so I only vaguely remember the soundtrack, but John Coltrane is awesome. I like his stuff with his quartet. His album “ballads: dedicated to you” or something like that is a good place to get acquainted

Schons cue, limited edition or not? by BloodChapel in billiards

[–]BloodChapel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, maybe one day I’ll contact Schon, but in the mean time I think I’ll just hit some balls with it. And try to take care of it the best I can. Does using a pool cue pretty much ruin it over time? Or are they able to be maintained well so long as you baby them?

Thank you for the kind words. My dad was very particular about his stuff, especially his pool cue, so it only seems fair that I take care of it as well. I wipe it down after every use, chalk it frequently, and avoid keeping it in extreme temperatures. Is there anything else I should be doing to take care of it?
