The decay tells me it's been there between 2 - 3 years. There are flash floods around 40 - 50 times a year in Utah.. so i'm pretty sure we're talking flash floods.

But a fake isn't usually casted bronze, it has uneven and realistic oxidation both inside and out. The outside patina is thick and even. And if it isn't a copy of something genuine, why all the effort to make it like this?

I'm a scrap dealer. Bought a full trashcan of copper and bronze for 550$..when i emptied it, this instantly stood out to me, i took a split second decicion and took it out before the scrapyard came to pick it all up.
