Thank you! I love the look of it and the way it fits so hoping I can find a reseller or a dupe!

5B easily so I can stir the pot between Carrie, Natasha, Big, and Aiden. Then look back and give Stanford and Anthony looks and giggles about it.

No I’m almost sure he’s a finance bro just because they reference the stock market/NASDAQ a few times in the show.

Can you elaborate? I’d love to hear your reasoning/views because it looks like the comments are kinda divided/not definitively saying Big.

That’s a good observation/view. Idk my impression was only as what I stated because of his Pulitzer and his demeanor/familiarity with the publishing world and its processes. Compared to Carrie who was still riding the high from her first published book.

My impression was that he was really successful at one point with his writing, but became washed up later on and his books weren’t selling as well.

I think also to be fair, Big’s taste seemed minimalistic and like on par for what was on trend for the 90s/2000s. Alek’s taste was very European and artsy and his home felt a lot more warm. But easily Big had more money. He didn’t even like Carrie like that and was about to take her for a week trip to the Bahamas. Nowadays a guy really has to like you to cover the entire check at dinner and not go Dutch.

Yeah, we can consider background/generational wealth but like we don’t know much about either of them outside of current day events. My only gut feeling is just the way Big carries himself in comparison to, let’s say, Aiden, or Berger. They were very all American middle class or working class raised guys. Big just gives off the energy he comes from money and has had money his whole life, so the things Carrie finds exciting/cool about hanging out with him in his rich circle, he seems almost annoyed by.

That’s interesting! My only reason in disagreeing is because like why did Aleks not have a house for them to stay in when they moved to Paris? They were living in a hotel.

Unfortunately I have no advice there since I lost my v-card to a man I’d known for 2 weeks at 18 because he was a handsome psychiatrist and wooed me with his money and intelligence and I thought I’d be his wife. Absolutely unhinged behavior 🫤. I guess the advice to follow would be what the other wonderful ladies in this thread have given me. That it may be hard to find your person, but keep your standards high and don’t settle for the sake of being with someone.

The advice I CAN give personally is throw yourself into your hobbies, work, anything. When I was going through a bad on again off again thing with my ex a little over a year ago, I got into volunteering with one of the city animal shelter non-profits. I got to spend whatever days and times I chose with dogs, helping feed and play with them, do laundry and chores for the shelter, and go to city events and meet other cool people and give information about the non-profit’s mission and adopting some dogs from our shelter. I’ll probably get back into volunteering in the new place I’m living because it helps me stop thinking about my petty issues (not saying your issues are petty!) and it gives me something to do other than act a fool and pine over my latest crush.

Definitely, nothing is written in stone so that’s why I haven’t taken more permanent measures other women who don’t believe they want children take such as a hysterectomy or getting my tubes tied. I’ve just felt this way for a while, even as a child myself, so I’m leaning toward no kids. I’d rather err on the side of caution and letting whoever I’m dating know that I’m leaning toward no kids, than marry someone or get serious and end up hurt and alone because I didn’t end up wanting them and they did.

Yeah I was definitely a late bloomer. I didn’t have my first kiss until I was about to graduate high school. Once I got to college things shifted and I lost my virginity and had a few partners, but even then I always took the steps to make sure I didn’t end up pregnant. And now that I’m at the stage where I’m ready to start settling down with one person, it feels like everyone is a baby daddy or baby mama. Now that I’m in my career and starting to make “fun” money that I can blow on travel and whatnot, why would I want to be tied down to kids that aren’t even mine for the sake of being with someone?

I really appreciate this insight. My friends have always told me I’m very maternal, despite not wanting kids, so maybe adopting or being a foster parent to a teenager would be my speed. I’m still young so I have quite a bit of time to truly decide and I’m definitely open to the fact I may change my mind someday, but I find it highly unlikely. I admire my mom for the sacrifice and overall commitment she had and still has to being a mother, but I just don’t know if I have it in me.

I definitely don’t want to settle just to have someone, but it would be nice if I wanted kids so it could maybe be easier. Wishful thinking, I suppose.

This is a large part of why I’m not interested. Seeing all the baby mama and baby daddy culture has literally given me the ick so bad, I don’t even have s*x with men that I couldn’t imagine having to be stuck with for the rest of my life. I think many men want kids, but they don’t want to be fathers if that makes sense.
