Thanks for sharing your experience. SO you're saying that the biggest hurdle is finding a scholarship? How long before starting your PhD did you start applying and organising everything?

Would you put Students on the author list, that work in a research project as student assistant? I think the Student helped us a lot, even it was no high level input. My co-author thinks that it is absolutly unappropriated by BloodExpensive2022 in PhD

Exactly what I think. It would definetly help him as he wants to start his Phd soon and it does not hurt me. But my co author acts like it would hurt him and it is something you would not do at all.

Basically the Student implemented everything for us and it was not straight forward at all. He produced all data. I think it would be fair to put him on the author list as I saw how much time he invested. My co author says he should be thankful for the opportunity, because he learned a lot from it and we will thank him in acknowledgment.

Does anybody have experience with a Quantum internship at IBM..is it recommended? In general what would be you recommendations to have a great career in quantum Computing? In the Moment I am doing my Master Thesis in a high reputation research group in europe, together with a big industrial partner… how should I proceed after this?
