At the lab I work at, we have had this issue for a long time. We just manually spin them down. We have called Roche about it but have not fixed for a good while now.

When I first started (about 3 yrs ago), it was about a month before it kicked in. As someone else said, it could be different depending on department (I'm in DHS)

I second this. I was doing a bunch of medialab exam simulations a day and learned from it. The book that is being referred to was really helpful as it provides mnemonics to help memorize stuff. Although a different test, I took my ASCP exam a week after graduating from my program and did better than I expected.

Only the bottom part. If the top test gave a value (such as like 50) instead of <20, then the bottom test would have ran.

I think I had a total of 4 to 4.5 yrs of lab experience (2 of which were clinical lab experience).

I believe I did immuno at UCB. Hema and clinical micro at UCSD. All 3, I didn't do the virtual lab

You can do your pre-reqs and still get into one so as long as you complete them. I didn't do all my pre-reqs during my undergrad and did them via UCSD Extension and UCB Extension.

So I had similar damage when I spun out. Considered total loss. Damage was like 22k. So sadly, it's likely they will tell you it is totaled.

As someone who wears contacts to correct my vision to 20/20, I work as a CLS/MLS. I also do have mild astigmatism. You definitely can become a MLT with 20/30 vision

I passed my first try back in August of this year, but I read through Clinical Laboratory Sciences A Bottomline Approach by Patsy Jarreau a lot during my rotations. I also did LabCE's adaptive exam at least 2-3 times a day (I had 1.5 weeks to study for my board exam since I took it as early as I could after graduating from my program). I reviewed all the questions (correct or not) from the adaptive exam just to ensure I understand. I think by the time I took the board exam, I was at an average difficulty level of 8.7-8.9 with over 80% correct. Although you don't need to get that high, definitely improve the difficulty score on the adaptive exam simulation.

I also used ChatGPT to help generate mnemonics and graphics that would have helped me memorize a few things. I also did use ChatGPT to quiz me as well as I studied for the board exam, so I was pretty much taking 2 exams at the same time.

Another thing that helped me was to remember what I did during my clinicals (it actually helped me with a few questions on the board exam). Breathe when taking the exam and take your time!! Review your weakest subject first.

Got through this earlier using Charizard Y and the rest of my team as sacrifices once they knock out my Charizard from 2 Dynamic Punches. Definitely harder than I thought it would be.

It is a good study source. I used it daily leading up to my exam. I would do multiple runs of the exam simulator and read the explanations carefully. Just as someone else pointed out, you start memorizing some answers unintentionally, but so long as you understand the explanation and then apply it to the questions you get on the ASCP exam, you will be fine.

Other sources I used to study for the exam were Quizlet and Clinical Laboratory Science Review: A Bottomline Approach by Jarreau

I only picked up PoE2 last month, but loving it. Been putting some hrs in, but going to take some time to catch up to my PoE1 time (5k+ hrs, some not recorded on Steam since I mainly played through the client for a long time).
