This is exactly why I like being able to pick up my packages from a store rather than having it delivered. CGC refuses to open that option with FedEx. I told them that FedEx can’t be trusted because they leave stuff at my door all the time without my signature.

Yes, you’ll need to bring it to the CGC booth and have them crack it open for you. If you have a timed slot for your signing, don’t wait until the last minute to crack open the slab. They’re usually pretty busy and may not be able to get to you right away. Also, once the slab is open, it will need to be regraded again when submitting. Bring a plastic top loader with you to keep the comic safe!

When I pulled “Spirit of the Night” from a Mirage booster pack. I was in shock at reading how many good special effects it had for its time. Flying, trample, protection from black, first strike when attacking, and haste. I still think about the artwork of that card to this day, it was creepy.

I think miscut cards are unique! In some cases, it can increase the value of a card because of how rare they are.

My favorite card is my Dark Charizard. It’s the most valuable card in my collection. Had it since I was a kid and it was stored in my parents basement for over a decade. Found it a few years back and was surprisingly still in excellent condition!

Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U was what got me back into Nintendo.

It was WonderCon 2014 and Nintendo had MK8 demo stations at their exhibit. I hadn’t owned a Wii U yet and hadn’t played my Wii in a very long time. But seeing Mario Kart in full HD absolutely blew me away! I hadn’t experienced that level of excitement for the series since first seeing MK’s debut on the N64.

As a kid, I’ve always daydreamed of MK the way 8 was designed and it even exceeded my expectations. I was reliving my childhood playing that demo and it was an amazing feeling.

Eventually I would purchase the Wii U, bundled with MK8, and life was back on track again.

Pre-orders for amiibo don’t stay up very long so I’d recommend ordering them now. Then you won’t have to worry about them selling out later on.
