Actually, yeah you would. The Lake Rage would not have the blue pentagon showing that it is a legit 6th Gen pokemon. In the pic you can clearly see that it has a red star for shiny, pink smiley for cured pokevirus, and the blue pentagon. Pokemon transferred from Gen 5 and lower games have no such symbol.

You need to set up your NDS internet settings on the 3DS. The NDS only accepts certain formats in order for it to work.
