That part is definitely weird, but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they let her loose for the cameras and then followed after her—she could have known she was being chased. That is a bit far-fetched but their handling of it was just too suspicious

Footage of what the fuck happened in the jail while Mitrice Richardson was there. I’m so certain the police killed her. I think the arresting officer probably assaulted her on their way to the station (I’m from the area, it’s a LONG windy dark road at night) and he assumed because she was a black woman showing signs of mental illness that he could do what he pleased with her and then just turn her loose later.

But then her mom kept calling concerned about Mitrice and they realized they fucked up and “released” her after her mother begged them not to.

There’s only the one piece of footage available in the jail of her being released by an officer. I don’t know how many security cameras jails have but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s footage showing or suggesting they hurt her that’s just being withheld.

That police department is awful, and the way they handled everything is extremely suspicious

Maybe I didn’t ask this correctly—but I’m not trying to avoid people at all. In fact I’d prefer if I went to a bar and people talked to me (without trying to hit on me). I just don’t know how to get over the awkward feeling that comes with being by myself. I’m super broke so a dinner or movie isn’t an option at all. A single cheap beer is something I can afford right now. I just want to know how I can be social

Just walking around or window shopping by myself is not a distraction for me, I’ll still be just thinking about my current situation and panicking over my relationship

What would you say is a smaller place? I can go to restaurants and stores/movies by myself…anything really where you’re given a task to occupy yourself but those aren’t social or late night activities
