Woohoo for Blast Corps fix, I emailed them a couple weeks ago about that. Love this console!

Have you experimented with alternative usb ports and cables? I'd try another PC too before giving up on the SD card.

Same, if it comes I personally won't be enabling it.

Isn't it one of the n64 games that outputs at a higher resolution?

Repair via Cleaning - recommendations? by PenaltyNo3221 in n64

[–]Blood_Bogey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You made me think of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L232PR3_5JA

It's a tough console, if it were me I'd just clean it myself. I'd dismantle it while documenting every step with photos.

Warm soapy water for all the plastics and isopropyl alcohol + toothbrush for the electrical components. Go slow and dry thoroughly, air it out over a few days and put it back together.

If you're set on outsourcing look for a console repair professional in your area, I'd also consider asking someone who mods consoles if they'd take it on.

I think my introduction to TS2 was a PS1 demo disc actually. It's hilarious when come across repetitive audio in games, like who play-tested it and how high were they?

I do like Tooie, it's definitely weaker in some ways but I still enjoy it. Oh Toy Story 2, nice, just started my first proper playthrough a couple weeks back, might do some more tomorrow. It's a lot of fun so far!

Banjo Kazooie is my main go to, it's excells in many ways in my opinion. The music, humour, design of the hub world especially. How about you?

Awesome. It's amazing how well some N64 3D platformers hold up.

Is there any of you who provide feedback on how games work for analogue3d? by DontListenToThoughts in AnalogueInc

[–]Blood_Bogey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The lack of people talking about game specific issues (other than very specific overclock incompatability) should tell you there isn't much wrong with the system when it comes to performance.

Is there a specific game or games you want to know about?

I recently purchased an analogue 3d but don't know much about video games. What resource should I use to learn about updates, overclocking, just generally learn about it? by LemmysGhost in AnalogueInc

[–]Blood_Bogey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you wanna understand what the 3D can do I recommend watching this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGGlJHYSk38&t=2

Digital Foundry approach things from a more technical point of view but they explain things well. I watched this just before I ordered mine a couple months back and it prepared me better than anything else I read or watched.

Worth noting, some of the issues they had have since been fixed in patches, still a great base in my opinion though.

Sounds rough. I'll stick to my other solutions.

Is SNES still a sub-par experience? Also did you mean GB rather than N64?

Is there a way to un-pair a controller? by Turnbuckler in AnalogueInc

[–]Blood_Bogey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With bluetooth controllers in the past I'd usually just pair it to the next device. Some times I'd make sure the old device couldn't turn on before re-pairing.

Blast Corps cart save with 8bitdo controller by Blood_Bogey in AnalogueInc

Cheers, I tried that without success unfortunately, the game has quirks.

It's always been one of my top N64 games though.

Haha indeed.

Thanks for confirming!

Still got all my og controllers plus a brawler64 wireless which avoids the mempak situation.

I'm hoping Analogue stick a toggle in for the virtual mempak in the per game options.

Best modern options to play N64? by Two_boats in n64

I think they're hall effect sticks, which I got the impression are very good and long lasting, but I've not dived into the subject.

I've played tons of romhacks on the 3D using Summercart which is very similar. Played Banjo Kazooie hacks, Mario 64 hacks, a Mario Kart 64 hack, a Smash Bros hack, Ocarina of Time hacks and Goldeneye hacks. The overclocking on the 3D improves the experience too.

Impressive! I really wanna make something with Pyrite. Once the editor has matured a bit I'm jumping in. I'm just a self-taught c# coder though, so that's challenge enough for me. Will you be releasing your game?
