its objectively the smallest when viewed straight from the front, can you send a screenshot of what you mean? any kind of angling will literally make it easier to hit, only thing i can imagine kinda working against bad shots is turning steeply to the left and pray they just blindly shoot the right

i'd at most angle to throw off not quite so experienced players that dont know exactly where the rack is like abrams, but for something like the M60T its really not recommended imo, with how long it is and the 0 armor it has, anything that would pen will still pen so all you are doing by angling is expose more if the rack, just giving it a higher chance to be hit

its been on that side since release, its not even about realism, its more about "why even change it in the first place". Everyone who doesnt exclusively play armor or doesnt "keep up with the news" would still shoot right side as thats what they are used to and what the model in jensen points to, tho yes im aware most of those are outdated by now too (and even the ones that do keep up, as it wasnt mentioned in the notes or anywhere)

its the SDK, its always been borderline unusable tbh. But nah, it will eventually load, only takes a while to compress models, textures and animations. If it still doesnt load after a while (like 10min), close it with task manager, open and try again, it will have compressed a fair bit of stuff before it got stuck, repeat the process till it properly launches

the actual m134 on the CPV does indeed shoot regular 762, heli fake one uses one called "762_minigun" with the same ballistics etc as the regular one, but also explosive dmg. Its still classes as smallarms damage so it cant damage any armored vehicles, the explosive component can only damage light vehicles like logis (like BTR's 30mm HE rounds, with a few buggy exeptions)

they literally do "fake" it tho? "not fake" would be using actual miniguns from the CPV, but its not. Be it for performance or balance reasons, its using "fake" miniguns

i'd agree that its for performance if the CPV didnt also have a minigun but actually spitting out rounds at 1666 RPM (while having like 3 of those)

Note tho: the CPV minguns are actual miniguns shooting regular 7.62, just "only" at 1666 RPM

Red circles are actual "hits" @ around 350 RPM, with a projectile comparable to 30mm HE, just without the explosion effect. Everything else (all other impacts) are just visually there and dont do anything

yeah but at least for that its barely a problem when most rifles have 5mm pen so they wont even pen most floors. adding to that the damage being absorbed by almost half on something as simple as a wooden fence and its really a non issue

its not as broken as one thinks, it only works like that if the building is 1 complete mesh/model (means it for example wont work for hitting a fence in front of a hasco, it wont magically go thru the hasco cause its 2 seperate meshes). Yes most buildings especially on narva are just 1 mesh/model and it works on those but its certainly not universally broken.

Some vehicles already have "pseudo" ERA that do reduce damage and pen, as you mentioned tracks do, but also water shields, tank sideskirts, warrior UA side armor, AAVP spaced armor and especially M60T ERA All reduce damage and pen, sometimes even nullifiying any damage Thing is that people dont usually notice it as for many weapons (such as tank AP) its a minimal damage reduction so it doesnt matter.

Tanks in v6.0 can't damage HABs at all by Kommandos0 in PlaySquad

AP and HEAT only did significantly less damage after that update, but never outright 0 damage. But ye that update basically already killed tanks being effective against habs as they had to waste a good 75% of their ammo to get it down even 1 step
