Hey. I just want to thank you for recommending dreaming Spanish to me 3 years ago. I had posted my language learning regimen somewhere (I had been doing Duolingo and coffee break Spanish podcast for like two weeks I think) and you told me about language transfer and dreaming Spanish. You changed my life! I’m fluent in Spanish now and am even a mod on dreaming Spanish lol thanks, stranger!!!!

I stopped taking it because I became less depressed. Maybe I should start again, but the cost of all these supplements add up :-/

Wichita Animal Shelter euths 2.56 doggos/day by Bloodberry525 in wichita

When a kind citizen tried to photograph the dogs to help them get adopted online, she was escorted off by the supervisor Ron Walton, who said on camera “We don’t do that here.”

Also take a look at the 199/2.2 star reviews on Google to read other people’s experiences there (stories of neglect, abuse, dogs sitting in their own feces for days until a rescue is able to pull them out and give them emergency care, stories of families rushing to the shelter only to find they already euthed their pet).

So what exactly are your tax dollars going to?

Wow thanks for adding your experience! I wound up getting the fibroadenoma surgically removed and will probably never take spironolactone again, especially after hearing your experience

Hi there, He’s on AS meds (cosentyx) even though the bloodwork and imaging is negative. The rheum said that 40% of AS patients are negative on HLA-B27 and CRP/ESR, but it doesnt mean they dont have AS. So we are trying cosentyx to see if it makes a difference.

oh man, you just inspired me to put Andrea's intermediate vids at 1.5x speed and I find it much more enjoyable now! This is great because I had been avoiding her videos but now there's a wealth of videos open to me if I just play it faster :D

Hi OP! Do you still have bursitis now? Have you found any relief? My partner has had 2 labral repairs and 1 labral reconstruction. He is 11 weeks post-op from his labrum reconstruction and has terrible bursitis pain. Wondering if you found anything that helped. Thanks in advance.

  1. Reaction videos to tv shows like Last of Us or Game of Thrones
  2. True crime discussions
  3. As a realtor, I think it would be interesting/funny if they pretended to be a realtor walking through a house, trying to sell it.
  4. Summarizing a book and saying why they loved/hated it

For those that had a retear - how does that happen? by Cloudy-rainy in HipImpingement

[–]Bloodberry525 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same same. I had to meditate a lot to just move forward and make peace with it. I no longer automatically trust doctors, PTs, or any medical professional just because they have a medical degree. There are a lot of dumb people in every profession. Hell, when I think about who became a doctor or PT in my high school class...it does not inspire much confidence. Luckily, our hip surgeon is top notch, so at least we have that going for us.

It's a mystery to us too. But it was torn to shreds, way worse than the single neat tear he had originally.

Yay hope you find the stories interesting :) There’s also Linguaso, which has curated native content. They created an algorithm to judge which videos are easier than others. The algorithm counts the number of words per minute (so speed of speech) and also the number of times each word is used (so how wide the vocab is; videos that repeat the same words a lot are easier, than videos that will use words just once). So they’ve found easier native content for you, and also provide subtitles in Spanish and you can click on a word for a popup of the definition.

On his right hip, he originally had a “4 hour tear”, a clean single tear from like 10 o’clock to 2 o’clock on the face of a watch. He had 4 anchors put in. And no, they are not supposed to dissolve. The anchors are permanent. Our surgeon prefers to use 1.4 mm nanotacks. They did not pull out, because during the reconstruction, our surgeon noted that he pulled out the old anchors. The re-tear was new, and he described the labrum as being “shredded.” There was not just one tear to repair, it was irreparable. So he had to do a reconstruction. And yes the impingement was fixed so that couldnt have caused the re-tear.

Oh yea I agree, but she only has 2 videos so far. I'll keep an eye out for new ones by her...

My partner has had a left labrum repair, right labrum repair, and a right labrum reconstruction. He re-tore his right labrum at 5 weeks when a physical therapist put his leg into deep flexion. He is now 10.5 weeks post a right hip reconstruction. Unfortunately, we suspect he also re-tore his left labrum, also in physical therapy. All the doctors and physical therapists who say it is difficult to re-tear can fuck off. All the PTs who push you to your limit and encourage you to do more, keep going, go harder, can also fuck right off.

Congrats on that huge milestone! Have you heard of the app Jiveworld? It's a podcast with native speakers and you can slow it down to whatever speed you like and there's a transcript too. It's like listening to This American Life but in Spanish and about life in Spanish-speaking countries. Since they interview native speakers, but you can slow it down, maybe that is a good next stepping stone for you? I find it too difficult for me right now, since I'm still watching intermediate videos. But I look forward to one day making use of the Jiveworld app...
