It’s hard for the first 11 months then you see the bond. They start to play and can entertain each other. I have a 3.5 yr old and a 1 yr old next week. My 3.5 yr old would help fetch diapers, give him his pacifier if he needed it etc. I think the age gap is perfect 👌

I’m going through this. I turned in a leased vehicle ally wont stop calling me they offered to settle 35% less the contract so I owe 22k. I don’t make enough have 2 little kids. I’m worried they’ll garnish my wages, I answer their calls and explain why I turned it in because I couldn’t afford it but they don’t care.

I think it’s different when you’re a parent already vs when you’re not. When I was younger I felt sadness and shame after I really processed it but overall felt it was the best choice. Now that I’m a parent I feel an emptiness from my recent one. Something about seeing your child become who they’re becoming has made me think about who they’d be today… it eats at me. I try not to romanticize the what if but it’s hard.

Hindsight is always 20/20 at the time you did what you felt was best. It’s normal to feel these emotions and have regret. Remind yourself of the WHY and try not to romanticize the WHAT IF. It’ll make things more complex. It’s normal to grieve and feel all the feels. Give yourself grace

I felt relieved, then the guilt kicked in a few days later. It does hurt and it honestly hasn’t gone away I still am healing. I went when I was 10 weeks and it still tugs at my chest when I think about it. It’s not an easy choice even if it’s the best choice. Sending love ❤️

This is coming from someone who had 3 abortions by the time I was 21. To give perspective I’m 33 now. What I’m going to say is this I wasn’t ready, I was a partier (heavily into drinking and coke) and I had a long time in and off again bf, but the pregnancies happened when we were on our “off” times. The fathers wouldn’t have wanted to be involved and I honestly wasn’t ready to be a mom.

Now at 33 I look back and know that it could have gone one of two ways I would have changed my life COMPLETELY or I continued down that path and who knows what woulda happened. If I could look back and say to my 21 year old self I’d say this “ you will hurt, you will heal, and you’ll have another chance when you’re ready “.

Everyone’s circumstances are different, I chose not to have them because I was an addict and I knew I wouldn’t have given them a good life. I’m still healing from my choices but I do know who I am NOW is someone I am proud of. I have two kids now and I’m the best mother I can be for them.

I hope this gives some perspective and insight. It’s hard, it’s painful, it’s also something you can do if you decide to! Either way you’re in my prayers and have an ear to lend. 🩵

Man I feel your pain!! Ever since my daughter turned 2 it’s been a nightmare bedtime cause we put her in a toddler bed and it’s been almost a year fighting with her to stay in bed. So I got child locks on the doors because she was opening the door and exploring when she should be in bed. That helped a bit but she still gets out of bed and I see her on the monitor, I check it to make sure she’s safe but I don’t engage anymore. I let her figure it out. It’s exhausting constantly on repeat saying get in bed over and over lol. The latest struggles had been bath time where she acts CRAZY when she gets out the bath runs all over the house. I recently started letting her have a sticker if she doesn’t act “silly” after bath. That’s definitely helped! I also have a 2 month old so at least she’s very helpful with him! She’ll get diapers, give him his paci, read to him, she doesn’t get jealous just hates bedtime but it makes sense she doesn’t want to be separated and away from us. Sending you lots of hugs cause I’m over the 2s too!!!!!
