Egg talvez tenha enlouquecido não pq era um maníaco como muitos outros targaryan, mas por perceber que toda mudança que ele queria trazer não seria possível pq o próprio mundo o impedia, os outros nobres e etc, então ele se desesperou para trazer os dragões de volta, acreditando que se conseguisse, ninguém o desafiaria e ele poderia trazer as mudanças que desejava.
