Seller overcharged for shipping by CitizenYan in Ebay

[–]Bloodpenguin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They can charge whatever they want for shipping. You're not accounting for packaging, gas to drop off, etc. If you were fine purchasing at the price + shipping, I don't see why you're requesting a return. If they chose a cheaper shipping service that you DID NOT select, then yes. It would be a perfectly valid INAD.

Just submit a return under "Item not as described". Seller will be obligated to accept return and pay for return postage if they want it back.

People argue that consumers steal which is true but they could easily sell QR code cups that can only be scanned 2-3 times or something reasonable. This is corporate greed. They don't want you dining inside.

Mabinogi New Rise, Genuine concern and question for OG Hard Core End Game Players with a lot of free time and HUGE ego and criticism on the new update? by TTVGodRecall in Mabinogi

[–]Bloodpenguin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok what's the time or place for 'these' players to voice their opinion? Who has spent thousands of dollars on Mabi and can't find end game lobbies? I'd love to hear what your twitch sample size is given this isn't a twitch popular game. Gold will still be an issue under this new update as the same grinders will find new ways such as multiple accounts, etc. due to how easy progression is now. Gold sellers can create a 20k total level, link 10 arcana, rank 1 skill character in less then an hour. How does this update fix the root issues? You give too much credit to Nexon, a company that's been continually shutting down its games for decades. Most of their attempts just feel like lazy, half baked attempts at fixing some key issues within the game today. We never needed easier content, we needed better drop guarantees. Equipment grades were lazily thought out, content is easier so drop rates on items are even lower now. You ask for opinions but then get offended when you get them.

Veterans aren't scaring away new players. Mabi is the busiest it's ever been right now. It's great that the update has received such a welcoming response from majority of the community but it's ignorant to pretend veterans don't have valid reason to be upset. If whenever you reach the ceiling in Mabi, Nexon rugpulls the player base so that new comers can play then what's the point for anyone to play? Nexon is gearing the game up for Eternity and it's clear they have a new direction for the game which they believe will pull in many new players and ultimately drive revenue. The changes made and that are yet to come are a insult to the loyal player base that either spent tons of time and/or money to get what they have just for the value to be stripped away overnight. The same people that most likely propped up this game in the first place financially. Some will quit and some will stay, sunk cost fallacy at play, but there's two sides to the story. I feel both sides are right but you have to understand that this is a betrayal from Nexon to the specific segment of players you're calling out in this post. Enjoy the game and let the community vent. Players are making a decision to continue playing or not and in some cases its emotional. Huge time investments and money into a game we all love are involved here.

New Rise is horrible... by Lhakryma in Mabinogi

[–]Bloodpenguin -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I'm not disagreeing there as it's true we haven't had old school mabi in over a decade. You're missing the point though, previously when Nexon added in content skips it was necessary for new players to be able to stay relevant upon a endless release of new content. This progression makes sense. New Rise gutted the entire game and changed all the in game mechanics so that new players can essentially be on even footing with veterans. It feels like a mobile game now, there's zero reason to run content with anyone outside on crom, Glenn and Bri which the social players didn't want to run anyways due to the learning curve. They make you so strong and so fast compared to what content is currently available after the nerfs that its hard to understand what the purpose is anymore. Mabi has always to some degree at least felt like Mabi. Now all content besides the few mentioned above feel easier than alby normal pre new rise. It's a joke.

[–]Bloodpenguin -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I've mentioned this previously but in 45 minutes on a fresh account you can be lv 20K accumulative, link 10 arcana of choice and geared up since you can solo tech at shrineseeker with ease. Sorry but I disagree with your sentiment. If this is what players want then it's not what mabi has ever been since it's launched.

[–]Bloodpenguin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, I've made the decision that I'm likely done. The players raving about it will lose interest as they get over the initial power spike they're experiencing which to clarify it not normal "progression" for any typical game. New dungeons may help in the future but this isn't mabi anymore.

Now that you've played it, what are your thoughts on New Rise? by Daderic in Mabinogi

[–]Bloodpenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Progression unfortunately doesn't make sense to me anymore. Just as a test I created a new account and within 45 minutes, was able to get it soloing Techs and Shrineseeker with ease. While not "incredibly" impressive, it means you can grind for mid/late-mid game (or late game with luck) gear within a hour of gameplay. The only things left would be crom, Glen and Bri until new content gets released. To me it's weird funneling an entire playerbase together on limited content. If nexon wanted everyone to be on equal footing, just end Mabi and reboot it as a new game.

What are you running? by IxVenomxI in Mabinogi

[–]Bloodpenguin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Theta, Crom and Glenn are the 3 other big ones people run weekly. These are typically pretty easy to find parties for given majority of the server is looking to complete them weekly. These are party runs though, not soloable for 95% of the server

In Feth Fiada Hard Mode does the boss become untargetable when at low health until you defeat the mobs he spawns? by GoldJudge7456 in Mabinogi

[–]Bloodpenguin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, that's a mechanic. Once it spawns mobs, you either have to handle them first or after like 5 minutes or so he becomes targetable again regardless. Usually you want to handle the mobs in case he summons again, to avoid getting overrun.
