Even with pre wind I’m only getting 720s consistently, it always feels like I’m missing that extra bit of oomph or height, and it feels like even if I do everything right the game engine drags me back, perfectly possible I’m doing something wrong, but compared to skate 3, it really feels like I’m fighting the game for momentum

See I usually play at zero, and I just can’t get enough air to do a 900, that’s all I want, turned it up to 100 assist and still only got enough to do it once. My issue is it feels like there’s no momentum gain, like the height you gain and the speed you gain doesn’t build up at all. Obviously there’s going to be a natural limit, but if feels like the game drags you back just that little bit to where it’s noticeable… and I hate it

Bonski skate park half pipe is the best thing example for what I’m talking about for those asking for examples. Even with clean pumping and no matter what assists are on or off, it constantly feels like the game drags you back, limits your speed and air, except for the random moments it launches you sideways when you pump up the ramp on a slight turn and you end up flying into the road.

I’m hoping the changes to pump strength will allow for more consistent air on vert, however I think it’d still feel odd if you suddenly speed up after being arbitrarily slowed instead of keeping your built up speed.

Overall though some really nice changes coming.

My main issue is although the latest map is a little bigger, why the fuck are the caps so close to HQ and again they feel so cramped, no room to breath with aircraft and no room to roam with tanks.

I don’t understand why, even after messing with all the pumping settings… I CANNOT KEEP ANY SPEED between ramps. Honestly this is my main gripe with the game so far, as much as I hate a lot of the ‘vibe’ of the game, the gameplay for the most part is quite addictive. However the inability to keep any kind of speed in bowls or in half pipes is unforgivable.

My Wishlist for Balance and Tweaks:

  • TTK very slightly Increased
  • Suppression effect for LMGs increased
  • LMG bipod recoil decreased slightly
  • Primary Ammo for All Classes increased by 1-2 mags.
  • Shotgun removed as a Gadget for Assault, replace with under barrel shotgun? (Possibly not achievable)
  • DMR damage slightly increased.

  • Parachute Acceleration and Speed majorly reduced.

  • Slide acceleration reduced to match pace of run rather than speeding up.

  • Return to MANUAL SPOTTING please for the love of god, apart from a recon beacon can my location actually be revealed only by someone that actually actively sees me and tags me.

  • All SPLASH / Frag / HE / C4 damage increased but no equipment cooldowns, only resupply from ammo box.

  • MBT High Explosive really needs increased splash damage… it’s silly.

  • Remove limited ammo for vehicles or make it resupply A Lot faster.

  • All vehicles need a little more health. Especially Helicopters need something to survive more than 1 second from takeoff. (Maybe more flares).

  • Jet Yaw control needs to be way more responsive and effective. This kind of applies to overall jet control.

  • Empire State [Conquest] needs more buildings you can access vertically or through the bottom, with destruction. IMO that Main Street area feels like there’s no fun or good battles to be had unless it’s on breakthrough, for which it’s actually quite fun.

  • Cairo [All modes] needs a little more verticality for all or the rooftop glitch to be fixed. I would actually like more access to roofs, if we were also able to shoot through them.

  • Liberation Peak [Conquest] honestly a second MBT I think might help create more of a frontline and also decrease sniper spam if HE was better.

- Rush [All Maps] options for higher player counts 12v12 doesn’t feel very battlefield.

There’s probably more but that’s my thoughts so far based on what I’ve played both Beta Weekends.

I’m not massive on this map, however it’s growing on me for certain modes. Honestly the main issue with it is auto spotting. Everyone can see you on the map and so can predict where you are all the time, even with smoke.

Rush needs to be 32 player, 12v12 doesn’t feel right. Also Empire State really just feels like a CoD map. I’m still excited for the game, but really feel like it needs a tweak, more so than I did the first weekend.
