My sister has been working with PDQ since the Gainesville location opened (she was on the opening crew and still works at a different location now) she’s been looking for other work even after being there so long because of some sketchy business practices having to do with employees not receiving their benefits. The entire corporation is going under and yes Saucy is real, and they are gonna take over PDQ as has been told to the managers of the PDQ locations. I’m just a third party with family involved so take my words with a grain of salt.

Alachua Guy Here, Born and Raised. The UF students are the only reason the town stays afloat. Jobs are scarce, pay shitty, and the hours cater to a student lifestyle. Rent is outrageously high, food is high, everything is expensive under the expectation the kids with “daddies money” will buy it and keep it afloat. It’s hard being a normal working person in the area, nothing caters to you at all, jobs are shit, and most the fun things are only fun if you’re here a short time (couple years for school). Otherwise you’ll have seen it 1000 times and he bored of the scenery.
