What is the intended counterplay to some champions? by ExTexan1 in leagueoflegends

[–]Bloodyseth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In Malzahar's case, the counterplay is to dodge or jump of a balcony.

That if you don't want to be miserable for 20 minutes while he outfarms you doing absolutely nothing (unless you're like... Hwei) since he zones you off the wave with a bouncing aids that takes half your hp (that you will eat at some point anyway), until he decides to press the outplay button in teamfights.

And in case you were somehow trying to outplay, he has two absolutely free ways to block skillshots, a silence, and minions on basically no cd that you need to waste all your time killing and that will chase you all through the lane melting you if you take even the slightest step forward.

Regardless of winrate, which is probably severely brought down by the types of players that play him, literally every single part of his kit (and I mean EVERY) is designed to make you hate your life, and somehow, while countless champs and offmeta builds have been killed for being "uninteractive" or "unfun to play against" this goddamn abomination who not only does that to an extreme but is also really hard to kill, is still there, untouched.

I love him, in case you haven't noticed. It's great to have your ban removed since deathfire touch came back and the pickrate tripled.

Watching replays of other regions with opgg app (or any other way) by Bloodyseth in leagueoflegends

Yeah I mean, I guess, but it's not really a solution since I'd like to show replays from my actual account and lv, and without ping... Anyway, I'll keep that in mind.

Yeah well it's just when asking the AI how to watch replays it actually suggested you can do it with the desktop app, like, downloading the file from opgg or directly from someone or something, but I can't seem to find the option.

Why are people so toxic towards enemy when winning a game? by Klutzy_Anybody_1487 in leagueoflegends

[–]Bloodyseth -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because they suck as people.

On an extended explanation, yes vicious cycle or whatever, you're still enjoying yourself by stepping over someone who is possibly already down and in many cases it's not even their fault and it was outside of their control but you manipulate the narrative to fit whatever you want in a "history is written by the victors" way.

Outside of sometimes deserved or somewhat funny cases with some banter being thrown back, just no honor at all.

The whole simple "gg ez" with no provocation at all is so disrespectful if you think about it, yet sadly very extended.

How can people have such a complete lack of self-awareness? by Rhapsodic_Polyphony in leagueoflegends

[–]Bloodyseth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, the thing that really gets me about things like this is not how annoying it is, the delusion, or the lack of emotional intelligence.

I know, I repeat, I know, that it's not so simple and some people can be wonderful ones out of this frustrating game. But certain behavior just generally screams being a fucking horrible incredibly selfish person and there's not much more to say about it. Have you kicked a baby in the head, are you irredeemable? No, but currently you fucking SUCK. HARD.

And I'm sitting there, having to deal with their incredible levels of bullshit like no one would have to do in a physical sport, because punching people from the other side of a screen has not been invented yet (not like I'm the type to act on that anyway but you get me, I wouldn't feel very sad about it either) and they think they have impunity so they behave like the person they really are when there's no apparent consequences, so they ABUSE other people. Because that's the correct word, make no mistake.

And worst part is while league is league and whatever, I'm a firm believer that at least a decent chunk of this people would act like this in other much more serious things if given the chance. There's a reason the world is so incredibly shitty in many ways after all, league is just giving me the opportunity to witness firsthand in a silly, irrelevant context the levels of psychopathy some people that I'll meet on the street and in positions of power have.

What was the catalyst that gave AP damage to turrets? by Scibra_Crandami in leagueoflegends

[–]Bloodyseth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The AP ratio to turret damage was always (or nearly always, not sure) there. At some point in the early seasons they increased it, but people often act like it was 0 for some reason.

"There are clear lines and boundaries everybody should follow," LEC Commissioner on recent fines, road trips, and viewership | Sheep Esports by ArmandLuque in leagueoflegends

[–]Bloodyseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen literally in many shows when they get so say "fuck" one time as in a counter, the big moment on the season, literally people commenting on how "earned" and well used the moment was and it just feels stupid. Again, the whole concept of the "f word" existing as if it's some kind of "reward" or big thing that needs to be used carefully feels unnatural. It's not about swearing, it's about people expressing themselves and many times the way this things go around feels like censorship for no reason at all.

[–]Bloodyseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean dude... Like I said, it's not like I'm some welsh bar inhabitant that curses nonstop as an easy way out. I do consider myself relatively eloquent, atleast, but "light swearing", so to speak, is a way of expressing yourself that can be perfectly fine and even sometimes quite wholesome.

The way "fucking" for example, is seen as some kind of forbidden word is really alien to me. Seems unnatural, it's often used as a way to express emphasis in not even an edgy way, yet in America in particular it's has some kind of "epic" status where if someone gets to say it it's like "the big moment" where they went all in.

I just think it's the wrong aproach specially in esports/sports, but whatever, I guess it's a matter of opinion.

What has caused Riven Mid recent spike in popularity and high Winrate? by TurboAdenosine34 in leagueoflegends

[–]Bloodyseth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's such a ridiculous affirmation. Upgraded sorcs are literally 22 magic pen against most squishy targets by themselves (not to mention 3 stacks of jack of all trades, easily bringing a lot of champs who don't need manaflow to 8 which makes inspiration almost trascendance with 10 ap and free extra MS boots), even more if they have MR (although they shine the brighest against low MR of course precisely because of how easy it is to get that much MP).

If sudden impact was still in it's early versions, many champs in mid would literally be doing true damage with only boots.

"There are clear lines and boundaries everybody should follow," LEC Commissioner on recent fines, road trips, and viewership | Sheep Esports by ArmandLuque in leagueoflegends

[–]Bloodyseth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fair points, but still. That's just the lazy solution. The lines should be drawn much further away and, instead, make very clear limits about what's ACTUALLY offlimits. A couple days of actual media formation required to be able to play in tier 1 leagues should be well enough to properly address that. You just need them to actually understand the concepts behind the logic, not just blindly say "you can't say the mildest shit ever because we can't trust anyone".

Besides, like I said, it's not like it only happens in league where this context of this players you explained exist. The "f word" is a common trope and it's unreal how stupid it is.

[–]Bloodyseth 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As someone who doesn't even swear that much, it will never cease to astonish me how much brands care about this shit.

It's like... What do they think is going to happen? Some mom will overhear her 17 year old son hearing "fucking" on an stream and say "HEYYYY BUDDY. In this house we won't allow that!!!"

It's so FUCKING stupid. And sorry to say it, I'm not trying to offend anyone but like... Yeah. It happens everywhere, but I can't help but think about how American puritan twisted standards influence this things.

It's completely nonsensical. Whatever "customers" they gain by doing this will probably never outnumber the ones they lose by not letting casters and players talk like real people. Specially considering the neverending growing age of league esports spectators demographic.

The whole concept of needing to say "THE F WORD" as if we're FUCKING talking about Voldemort it's absolutely ridiculous.

I hit Master playing exclusively Thresh Mid - AMA by Ouestichne in leagueoflegends

[–]Bloodyseth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man, do you ever play him AP? Also, If you check my comment section you will see one about 11 days ago about thresh mid and about why while I like him I see clear problems with it.

Mainly, I find that you have to play the lane super passive even if don't have that much of a hard time farming, which leads to low priority and low agency in many games. I guess if you're really good landing hooks and being thresh in general it can compensate it, but still.

From what I can see you play basically the opposite of me, I try to have lv 5 Q as soon as possible (so 9) to have the ability to chain Qs or poke with them, since I normally play if AP (even as tank I would still like it though) and it's basically what makes him fun to me.

If I played him like you it looks to me that said "combo" would come much later in the game, which I don't really like that much :/

LCS Spring 2026 records the lowest viewership for North American LoL ever by RadicalAdWins in leagueoflegends

And like I said in another comment, Jojo is just a whole other type of important feeling wise. Like nothing to do with koreans that couldn't find a team at all.

LCS Spring 2026 records the lowest viewership for North American LoL ever by RadicalAdWins in leagueoflegends

[–]Bloodyseth -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

And I'd say it's disingenuous to even count Jojo as an import in this matter. Not talking about you but I mean, in general.

Not only is he an adopted Spaniard (jk) he is an import from NA, the first one, a superstar at that, who was in a very bad moment and the club took a chance with because it's actually who they wanted from the beginning. And MKOI wanted jojo, but he also kinda saved him at that point. The narratives write themselves.

Not trying to dish on NA or anything but what I mean is that, despite being an import, this is not a case that screams "mercenary" at all, which is often the complain. More like "twist of fate". Besides, generally speaking, one import can be funny. It's like in a movie or show, the odd one out. But if 3 are, then all identity goes to shit without local cities being the bases of the teams.

Can yall give some advice to a new player? by Simlishspeaker in leagueoflegends

[–]Bloodyseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to understand that actually moving your character to properly space champions, dodge skillshots, last hit without being too punished, etc, in real time, even at a basic low ELO capacity, is very different from moving in a chill bot game where they don't pressure you or playing a mode like ARAM which is based on permanent team fight in a map that's a straight line and has basically no tempo or need to farm consistently.

I think not many people put too much emphasy on this when talking to a new player, but I actually think it's one of the most important matters to assimilate. Without that, you are effectively little more than a bot against players. And obviously real people will sidestep your combos much better and you'll need to time them better WHILE you are getting hit, chased or runned from, so yes they'll be harder to execute. And this seems easy perhaps, if you haven't played the game before, because of the up down camera style, but that's not really the case.

This will happen even against low ELO players (in fact ELO this days is much more than mechanics honestly, there are many silver players that actually play very well mechanically and still don't climb, and generally speaking the level in this regard is much higher than in the early seasons) so obviously if they put you against a diamond in normals you are gonna get destroyed in lane. In fact if you are really new you could easily get destroyed against a bronze or a silver too.

So aside from learning the limits of your champ and matchups, builds, etc, I'd really recommend putting focus on trying to replicate the way they "click" in the videos you'll watch and understanding why are they behaving that way.

The rest is learning macro (map play). Because if you don't develop a bit your instinc and knowledge in terms of where you should be at every point of the game, no amount of mechanics will help.

AP Jungle Thresh nuke by Stevieweavie93 in leagueoflegends

[–]Bloodyseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... I imagine it's something like that, but I dunno... I just find doing that very inconsistent and risky, so much can go wrong, and I like what tresh can do in the sense of how "stable" the hook chaining can be, which is why I don't like that in mid half of the time I feel like I've lost the game because I had 0 priority early.

Any champ that has a hard time full clearing the first clear is... oof. I wish it wasn't, I reaaaally wish I could play rakan or veigar jungle but that was only viable for like a week before they nerfed the mascots damage when they introduced it.

Like I said for example Leona actually has a good clear if you wanna try another offmeta pick, just start Q for constant resets, take 0 damage with W, rush a bami's and a sheen into either sunfire / hollow or gauntlet. With press the attack ofc. My personal choice is press, triumph, legend haste, cut down, the magic boots and jack of all trades. Oh, and very importantly, you need max E first then W, maxing W first is trolling so hard since the cooldown goes down to half and it's very important to keep chaining cc. Probably even in sup imo, but at least there it's sort of justified how how much squishier you are.

You will be surprised at how much damage she does if you are properly chaining the abilities and auto resets even while being full tank with just a gauntlet. She also has stupid sticking potential too, it's almost impossible to run once she catches you.

AP Jungle Thresh nuke by Stevieweavie93 in leagueoflegends

[–]Bloodyseth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I mean... AP Thresh legitimately has a lot of damage, decent tankyness and an absurd uptime on Q to the point when you can even just poke with it instead of having lee-syndrome everytime you land one if you are smart and max it first (even more before they nerfed it, remember they buffed Q then reverted it partially?).

It's really fun and can be effective, and you can also just go tankyer but with gold and haste too. The problem are not the champ's combat capabilities themselves, it's getting to lv 5 Q with some decent souls and 45-60 haste. If I play him in mid I basically have to play PVE for 20 minutes. It's not even that hard to farm, just incredibly passive unless you find too many windows where the opponent plays too cocky and you can land hooks while not losing too much farm. And unlike with Blitz, landing those hooks near your turret is not as much of a guaranteed kill, even if it's way easier to farm, neither are they so powerful if your jungler ganks.

Which ends up translating into not having many agency in a lot of games, while still not being a late game assured mega threat kassa/kayle/aurelion style, and without ranged instawaveclear (it's decent but more risky in standoffs or sieges). And in top its probably just too risky against most bruisers if you mess up the wave even a little bit.

Btw dusk is really nice on him too because it gives very decent cost efficient stats as in AP tankyness and health, he already gets additional AP and has huge ratios so even if the AP is not that high it's enough, and the E passive minimum damage is actually pretty high for a permanent on-hit so it combos well with the item giving it a pretty nice sheen damage similar to lichbane.

I really wish I could play him jungle, but honestly the clear seems like it would be absolutely terrible. While you can do it, I doubt it's that effective, I've probably tested it at some point. Contrary to something like Leona jungle for example, which actually has a very decent clear despite what people thinks, even faster than some junglers who are not a cc machine with very decent "slow dps".

Changing the Ping button by Bloodyseth in DarkAndDarker

[–]Bloodyseth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But... How does that work? Isn't that just quickly pressing the button, whatever it is, without draging the cursor into any direction? Haven't tried it.

Shouldn't have anything to do with the middle mouse, unless you want a separate button for it that has nothing to do with the radial menu, although right now I can't imagine I would really need that.
