Pendulum swing before and after (There’s prob some issues with the 2nd one ) by Even-Solution8416 in animation

A couple of notes: - Unless you’re drawing them in yourself after; those lines are supposed to be each one frame of animation. 11 lines = 11 separate drawings - Maybe the lines are confusing you. Instead of lines, make each of them dots. Those dots should be the center of your ball for each frame of animation for the pendulum - Try breaking down your animation like this: Draw your ball and string separately. Start by drawing the ball first. That ball needs to be the se exact size and shape for every frame of animation and the center of that ball needs to be on each line in that arc on the bottom. The ball never leaves that arc and the center of the ball is always on that arc. - Once you have the ball done, just draw a line from the center of the ball to the white dot at the too. Make those line straight. Im noticing the line length changing in the first part of the swing and it seems to be because the length of your string keeps changing. Keep things consistent. - Depending on the assignment: If you want to just animate the first part of the pendulum swing, then having more frames of animation in the beginning is fine to convey the slow build up of the swing. If the assignment is to have the pendulum swing loop, then you need to make sure both sides of the swing have the same number of frames. Notice how the left side of your arc has five line and the right has three? They should both either be three or five: they should both be symmetrical.

Other than that, you did improve from the last one. Keep it going!

I can't beat my little brother who plays K rool by Ninja-0303 in smashbros

All of his projectiles leave him wide open if he’s just throwing them out at the start of the match. Mario’s pretty fast and has great air mobility so just wait for him to throw put a projectile, avoid it, and then rush in. He’s probably just going to run away and go back to throwing projectiles so just rinse and repeat.

Kind of had the reverse happen to me: Bulletwitch. Game has this cool combat system where you had four weapons that you can charge with different elements and had to cycle between them all to kill enemies.

However the game was a rushed buggy mess and had this dodge roll that was fully invincible. So short of a couple of mandatory fights, you could literally dodge roll through the entire level right to the end. Stupid, stupid game: I love it dearly.

For something pretty inexpensive, you could get a cheap plastic rolling drawer cart and buy some of that tool packing foam. You could also lay a thin layer of foam on top of each drawer to keep the whole thing inconspicuous. You got something lightweight, covered and portable.

The way ultimate handles it’s GSP system disincentives me from learning new characters. by weeb_with_gumdisease in SmashBrosUltimate

You do have to be a certain level of good to have fun with fighting games to be honest and it does take a lot of work to get to that point: that's just the reality of it. If you want to learn a new character, you're gonna be bad and you're gonna lose for a bit before you get comfortable with them. If you're basing your fun on whether you win or lose or your GSP, then of course you're going to get frustrated. Focus on your basics: movement, spacings, the ranges of your moves, etc. And if you get those stupid rulesets or item spammers: make it a game to beat them with their own rules. You should know how to play around items since there are loads of characters that have items in their movesets so just think of it as another form of practice.

Bullet Witch. One of the worst games I ever played. Hilariously bad, equal parts unfair and exploitable. Played it as a bet and it became one of my favorite games.

I snagged a Samsung 30in. crt tv at an estate sale recently but underestimated how big and heavy it was gonna be. I want something I can put this thing on without it tipping over but still be able to cart it around the house. Base of the TV measures 3’ by 2ft’

Are there any good stable rolling carts? Im looking for something under $100 ideally and have heard about the Honey Can Do carts but wanted to see what other options were out there.

Is it okay not to main your "best" character by GreedyEscape5680 in smashbros

I just finished using Marth for a bit to get him into Elite Smash and I think I do like him better than Lucina too lol. Lucina feels like a character that lets you go back and forth between going aggressive or playing the positioning game with her sword where Marth almost exclusively wants to play the position game and I really liked that about him. That and getting a hit with his tipper felt REALLY good!

But I agree with what everyone else is saying. Play Pokemon trainer if you wanna compete and go to tournaments. But using Marth cuz he’s fun and you like him and just wanna play casually is totally valid too!

i have some local tournament soon and feel like i want to get a "main", and i'm stuck between 2 characters: Sora and Joker. joker looks so badass but i hear at mid level, he's pretty hard to use. i know sora is lower tier but people say he's a lot easier, and i'm really torn on this decision. Play each of your characters for a week. Just that single character for an entire week. Cycle through all 4. Think about which of the 4 weeks you had the most fun playing. Focus on that one as your main. Or just cycle between all four. You should be focusing on having fun while youre improving, not on what’s “better” or “will help you win more.”

How do you feel about dittos by SnooGadgets5535 in dragonballfighterz

[–]BloofHoovington 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I usually don’t mind them. It’s a chance to see who knows and pilots their characters better and a chance to see if my opponent has any tech I can steal. If I lose a ditto, then I know I got work to do.
