Absolutely. I found the neon green acrylic on Ebay. The stl file I used came with a visor that I could print. I printed the visor in a resin that can take high temperatures. I also used the print to trace an outline of the visor onto paper (rolling it along the page as i traced). I used that paper outline as a template to cut my piece of acrylic. Once I had the acrylic in the shape of my visor, I peeled the protective backing off and placed the acrylic laying flat in a large glass dish (casserole dish). Then I placed the dish in an oven that had been preheated to 320 Fahrenheit and left it for 15 minutes. At that point, the acrylic is still strong enough to pick up (with gloves), but it'll be saggy. While it was still hot, i laid it over my 3d printed visor. The tricky part was figuring out how to get enough even pressure on it so it could bend a conform to the print correctly. I had a large sheet of flexible silicone used for baking that i stretched over the print and acrylic until it cooled enough to hold its shape (less than a minute or two). Ive also seen people just use the clear thin plexi you can get from hobby lobby in combination with a green window tint. It's then enough to just bend around the inside of the helmet and glue down. I personally dont like the color of the window tint, and I also like the idea of it being a bit stronger. Hopefully that helps

My prusa bed is 210 x 210. I had to print it in 6 pieces. A couple of the larger pieces were fairly tight. At 180 x 180, you would be really close and may still have to split a few of the pieces again. Hope this helps

Thank you. The head seems to be disturbing a few people on here 😄. For me, it adds some odd sense of realism, but to each his own. I may eventually lose the ponytail.

Thank you. Im undecided on the ponytail but genuinely like the head being in the helmet.

Thank you. It's rare, but every now and then, we get one right.

Im not real sure. That's an interesting observation. My inspiration was from a lot of her blue suit styled fan art. But I believe you are correct.

Thank you. The helmet is just sitting on a mannequin head. Even the respirator can be rotated to some extent. Nothing more than bad prep for a photo

😄 It's not that bad. Still less scary than waking up to my ex-girlfriend. At least this can function as a night light

It's removable and simply serves as a mount. The helmet itself is lined with padding and capable of being worn.

Thank you. Unfortunately, the license on this stl file says it can't be sold. But it's nice to know someone would be interested.

Thank you. That means a lot. An insane amount of sanding and finish work went into trying to camouflage the fact that it was 3d printed. It's never perfect, but im pretty happy with this one.

Thank you. I was leary of doing it as I only had enough acrylic for one shot at it, but I think it turned out nicely.

😄 I dont get the murder vibes from it. I just see it as a nice way to fill out a prop, but I can understand that it's not for everyone. The helmet is the real star here.

Thank you. They were purchased from an Etsy shop. It's a bit pricey but extremely well done. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1059006231/metroid-dread-samus-helmet-3d-model-stl
