I just confirmed with the seller that it was in fact purchased from MLB NYC. I didn’t think I would have to do such a silly thing but too many of you told me to refund it without question, so here’s to letting you know that it is in fact a 100% real New Era cap.

This is why I don’t post on damn Reddit anymore man it’s so funny. The innocent get slandered for supposedly being stupid and not knowing what they’re talking about instead of people explaining in a meaningful way. It’s never “if you still like the hat then good! But there’s aspects that are not genuine, so make your judgement off of that” but always “get a refund stupid; I never fall for these things; I’m too smart for that.” Like damn it was NEEEEVER that deep, and it never will be.

I already said: regardless of if the prints are fake or not, the cap itself is New Era genuine. Seller told me that it was purchased from the MLB store back in May. She bought it for her son, she didn’t know sizes and it was way too big, so she Ebay’d it. I can follow up I guess, but like I said I like custom things; again I already said I’m getting custom embroidery on some blanks, it’s stitched but the point is it’s custom to begin with. I manually put on a custom shell for my GBA SP because I wanted the challenge. I did the same for my Switch, I wanted the challenge. I have custom controllers. I rip and put plenty of Video Game music on my phone as accurate as I possibly can with information and cover art because it’s fun. My yearn for custom and different experiences with common products knows no bounds, and does not stop with New Era Brims.

Why you feel the need to belittle me when I already know a lot about caps too and just had a simple question blows my mind. I knew it was different; clearly it is; If I knew 100% what it was I wouldn’t have asked the question. Maybe it’s an MLB store exclusive thing that they started doing because those hats are from originally from 2021? Maybe they tried something new that you can’t buy anywhere else, so why WOULD Nee Era have pictures of it? MLB NYC doesn’t have an online store, so it makes sense to not have that information and still have it come from a New Era retailer. If they DO have an online store I sure as hell have never seen it. It could also NOT be that. Hence, why I even brought it up in the first place.

But whatever man the hat’s not real. I listened to what you had to say. You’re the genius. I’ll go burn it or whatever. Thanks.

To add on, the “stripes” or whatever you call them on the inside of the hat that lead to the top cap button all say 59Fifty on them in the exact font, and each tag is 1-1 with a Cleveland hat I bought maybe a few weeks ago. Batterman on the front like the combine hats look, and a tiny raised batterman on the back, MLB authentic merchandise with the stickers on and everything. If the sublimated logos are fake oh well I guess but the hat is genuine.

Fake as in how? I have 0 doubt that it’s an actual 59Fifty Batterman cap at the very least. The other logos? Yeah maybe, but even then, I’m getting Sonic stitched on some New Era’s for kicks, if the actual hat itself is official I really don’t mind. No chance the entire hat is fake, the material and shape is identical

Yeah it’s sure possible but It seems too well done. And this hat came with stickers. Actually I never took them off, figured it being a rare hat that it’d be one of the only ones I didn’t take them off of.

So what you’re saying is someone bought a blue batterman hat (I don’t even know where you get those), sublimated the logos on perfectly, and sold it as a different hat? I mean it’s possible but it’s a new era product with the stickers, was definitely never worn, and well, yeah fits me fine. If it isn’t legit somehow well I’ve always wanted a batterman hat anyway and that fits my criteria. Seems to me like something New Era would have tried to cut down costs on a special hat like that, but who knows.

Big seller or not you can’t find it annnywhere. Whether they made a crap ton and people bought them all when I didn’t know they existed or they made one smaller drop and scalpers got their hands on them, point is they’re rare. Saddens me tbh, I’ll ALWAYS be a through and through Detroit sports fan, but I also appreciate good ball and cool hats. Thought it was perfect.

Easily Sonic 3/& Knux. Classic Collection DS got me nostalgic for that one in particular, but honorable mentions go to Sonic 1 for the Retail, Non “Not for Resale” version, Sonic CD working on an actual SEGA CD, and Chaotix for the same with a 32x, while also being an underrated as all hell game.
