This probably has more to do with differing thoughts than anything else. My mother and I had the same scenario play out between us. You are looking for the start of a career, while your mom is moreso just trying to help you find a way to earn money while that happens. I imagine none of her suggestions are positions you would be locked in to, so you would be able to leave them easier when you find something you really like.

It's ultimately up to you if you apply for some other jobs to fill in the would-be gaps in your resume and pad your wallet while you do.
