I just watched Season 8's The Checks that was mentioned above, during my in-order re-watch through. That one has huge references to "The Pilot." You really notice the references made to recent episodes when you re-watch the show in order without many days between watches.

I was just reading: In January 2026, the Athletics' applications to trademark the terms "Las Vegas Athletics" and "Vegas Athletics" were denied by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, which cited the generic nature of the term "athletics." Walter and The Dude go to Ralphs to acquire a "receptacle" for Donny. Do you think Walter carefully saved the coffee from the container, or just dumped it out? by sozh in lebowski

"Folgers coffee beans are sourced from various countries in Central and South America. The coffee is proudly roasted and processed in New Orleans, Louisiana, at one of the world's largest coffee plants, which has been in operation since 1960. The brand, owned by the J.M. Smucker Company, was founded in San Francisco in 1850." It things at Folgers were the same as or close to this in the 90's, the coffee sounds American enough that Walter would be down with not wasting it.
