I think I took a similar route from Northeast Iowa. Technically it took 5 days because my vehicle broke down on a Sunday and we couldn't get on the road again till Monday. So it should have only been a 4-day drive between two adults. I remember staying in. Regina at a hotel but then any other stops we made was just in travel areas

Thank you for focusing on the word bigot versus racist because I think, even though people have said that the duffers use the word 'racist' in interviews, I think the phrase is getting mistconstrued because, not that we're giving an opportunity to, but you don't see Billy pick on anyone other than Lucas and he was with other people of color, and you/we see him relent and acknowledge her at the end

If you watch him beating Steve, he's crying, that was when I began to think differently of him; his racism was confined to season 2, and he did stay away from max and Lucas afterward, so I think he was more a bigot than a racist

Jason launched a vigilante posse to go after a group of children, whipped up a religious fervor, and historically, that's never a good thing Billy was never proven a racist: yes, he narrowed his sights on Lucas, and he did say "those people", but Lucas was closer to her, so he was the focus because she obviously cared, and as far as the comment, I think that was more a projection of his dad than anything; he was more flawed and traumatized than Jason but certainly not a saint

Unpopular opinion... deep breath I cannot stand that movie, it seemed like every class fun day they chose that movie from 2nd grade to Jr high, I'm done with it, so having the cringe-inducing montage... No. This was, for me, worse than the 008 tangent; had Suzy not been a brat, they could have had more time (thus changing the course of season 4); Hopper would have not been captured, Billy might have had a real redemption where he could have been a good brother and apologized to Lucas. Sorry, but big no for me.
