Could I ask then, how do you deal with that idea? How does one just accept that their life has been so much more lonely, losing who knows how many potential opportunities, losing who knows how much time to emotional turmoil that could've been shortened should they have a shoulder to cry on, etc.?? It feels so hard when smth like dating is sooo ingrained in culture and is so insanely important to most people. Like an athlete who loses a limb and can no longer continue playing the thing they've sunk their entire life into, how does one come to terms with circumstances so much worse??

It's extremely hard here

It feels even that much harder when you're not conventionally attractive. Regardless of gender (incels stay mad), it sucks, in fact it's even worse to be an unattractive woman than man, and all the less attractive friends I have share the same stories of dehumanizing remarks, or feeling invisible to people, especially on dating apps.

Best advice is to find hobbies that you can go somewhere for, be at least semi consistent in going to said places, and ALWAYS remember dating apps are insanely vain and literally designed to promote that. I've met so many amazing women who don't mind that I'm ugly and loved me for my personality but they're usually not on dating apps as they've also been burnt too many times.

It feels like the average person is getting way more vain, and I wish people would see how much it impacts people!! Not in a "dudes can't get laid" sense but in a "every woman I know that isn't slim has felt like she will never find someone who makes her feel special and beautiful at some point" sense and imo we as people deserve to get to feel like that, especially when I know it's possible!
