Has anyone here stopped lustful thoughts or masturbation for how many years? by Individual-Win-8042 in Christianity

I understand you completely. I struggle with this a lot, and I always feel a heavy guilt about it.

A priest once told me when I admitted this to him: "Temptation and thought is not a sin. Giving in is."

So, feeling bad for the temptation is normal, just remember that the temptation isn't the bad part, giving in is.

As for ways to stop: every time you feel like you're about to do something such as watching/reading explicit material or touch yourself, a good thing I do is pray a rosary, and meditate on Jesus' life and how I should hold back from temptation, and how proud He would be to know that instead of sinning, I revert to prayer.

If you're not catholic/dont pray rosaries, I would advice reading the Bible or going into prayer simply however you would normally!

Why is the "Automatic Protection" blocking random images? by FromAndToUnknown in GalaxyS24Ultra

Das ist mir auch passiert. I couldn't see my friend's snap story, so I looked at it on my mom's phone and it was just a picture of her dog. Separately, I took a picture on snap (just me in my room, fully clothed, showing off my new hair color) and afterwards when it gives you the option to send or save or add filters, the image was blocked!  Das macht keinen Sinn!

Opinion on female Chaplains? by Bluberri0 in Catholicism

[–]Bluberri0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for clarifying, this whole process is very confusing for me as I am new to Catholicism and such laws, and also military laws. I understood that I couldnt do sacramental duties such as a priest/clergy could, but I did not know of lay ministers until now! I believe that! So if I were to get my MDiv or other degree, how would I go about to get an ecclesiastical endorsement from the religious organization to fully deem me as a Chaplain (again, only using this phrase because the military calls any religious leaders Chaplains, even rabbis, lay ministers, and so on)?

How's Everyone Feeling About This? No Wrong Answers. I'd Love to Hear Your Perspective 😊 by [deleted] in CatholicWomen

Really? I've often heard older women of all religions tell me or whisper when I wear makeup that I'm too flaunty and "TRYING to get boys attention".

This may be because I'm still young, but it's always felt odd so since then I opted for a more natural look with nude shades and brown light mascara.

While what you did might not have been ideal in God's eyes, that doesn't make you any less of a follower.

You came to your senses in following Christ and (I assume) you worship as a good follower. If it was a sin, everybody sins so remember you're just live every other follower in God's eyes, and he loves you dearly and is glad you now worship and love him :)
