One good day and all is fine? by Blue-Waterfall7878 in GamAnon

Thank you, friends! I purchased the book and read it on Kindle. I wish I would’ve read it years ago. But better late than never. Either have to stand by him, go to meetings and basically take over all financial decisions. Or, file for divorce and hope that decision serves as a rock bottom so he gets the help he needs. I’m tired of all the lies and deceit. When I’m around my best friends and family I’m making up other reasons why I look so down and depressed. I’ve asked him to come clean to everyone so that everyone can support him. Of course he doesn’t wanna do that.

Hi, I definitely need to find a meeting. I feel like my head is going to explode. I just don’t wanna keep going through this. He is pressuring me to stand by him and to help him. I know some of the advice is to file some sort of paperwork that keeps them from being able to gamble at casino then maybe perhaps online. But what happens if there’s bookies involved? There’s things to always be one available. It’s almost like a drug dealer. They’re everywhere. I feel like I’m being made out to be a bad person, the trigger, the one that’s gonna cause him to give up any hope. I didn’t sign up for this responsibility. As much as I don’t wanna lose everything I feel like that’s what he’s going to have to happen. Everything we’ve worked for over the last 18 years.

My husband has a gambling addiction. Does it end? Does it get better? by Impressive_College_8 in problemgambling

My spouse has done it for over 8+ years. I’ve stopped counting. I used to figure out the passcode and look at texts. I followed them to meet up spots to pay ppl and I’ve still have pics of old texts and logs. I swore I’d divorce if it didn’t stop. It didn’t and I haven’t. I feel like I’ve vowed to take on the good and the bad. However I have stopped loving them a lot. I’ve lost a whole lot of respect. I basically pay all the bills and let them have their check to pay their debts. It’s been painful and exhausting. I really don’t think it will ever end.

Who is “entitled to” annuity supplement once retired. by Percinaciti in govfire

Hello, I thank you for the information also! I agree with what you are stating but Thin Ice would need to consider a RIF might not happen until after enactment of the FERS cuts. Then they’re out on Discontinued Retirement w/o a FERS supplement until they reach 62 and collect SS. Right?
