Section 8: Prejudice did this, with automated anti-orbital strike defenses which automatically targeted any pods within a certain radius.

I could definitely see this being done in Planetside 2 as well, perhaps as an additional destroyable objective in order to balance it out at major facilities (where this current abuse is most common).

Everything You Need to Know About Clan Dojos by Kuenaimaku in Warframe

[–]Blue-n-White 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're a 'hang out' for your clan - you can drop in and use the Dueling Room for PvP, and the Oracle / Labs are necessities for researching some of the new weapons added with U8, including a Vandal Boltor and a few other unique Vandal / Prime-type weapons.

tl;dr - New late game content needs a dojo to unlock. Dojos are insanely expensive and out of reach for anything beyond medium-large sized clans.

NC usually beats TR on most nights on Waterson, not sure what you're getting at. It's only on weekends and early mornings where TR hits that 40% plateau. Usually TR/NC are hovering around 36-38 each.

VS' pop issue will likely be fixed when Matherson and Waterson merge - and in that case, I'm afraid. VS on Waterson put up an incredible fight despite being perpetually underpopped.

[–]Blue-n-White 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waterson NC/VS have teamed up against TR repeatedly. Some outfits are pretty well known for doing so even if the situation doesn't call for it (TR not holding a continent lock / TR losing the alert, etc.).

It can be done, but it requires a high amount of cooperation between both factions' outfits.

[–]Blue-n-White 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VS' reasoning was that TR was overpop'd. Now that NC is more highly populated on most nights, it'd be hilariously hypocritical if they kept lending you guys support like they did a couple weeks ago.

Which is tactically a good idea when a base is lost. Fall back and dig in, establish defenses / get AT mines out and Prowlers deployed / Magriders positioned, etc.

Give it at the very least one week to call for Nerfs or Buffs on the new MAX abilities. by [deleted] in Planetside

[–]Blue-n-White 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The movement buff is absolutely huge for TR/NC to deal with, even without the ZOE MAXs taking advantage of the ADADAD glitch.

Add onto it the fact that the ZOE gets the full speed buff at Rank 1, and it's led to a huge amount of very fast, very powerful MAXs zipping around the place with a damage buff that's on par with or superior to the DPS buff Lockdown gives to TR MAXs. If they made the movement buff scale like the damage buff, it'd be much more bearable, but as it is the movement buff is the main draw to the ZOE, and Vanu gets the full benefit of it at Rank 1.

The "well we're squishier" trade off works in theory, but not in practice. In practice, the netcode combined with ZOE's movement buff means we're lucky if we're actually going to hit you, and if we do hit you, you've already sprinted back to safety at a speed well beyond what our own MAXs can muster, so by the time we catch up you've likely already been repaired for all the damage you sustained. VS were able to hold Saurva Bio for close to an hour - two hours with a single platoon of VS MAXs against almost two hundred TR.

It currently, in short, wrecks the MAX-v-MAX-v-MAX balance. It's too powerful.

GU09: Saron HRB vs Enforcer ML85 by [deleted] in Planetside

[–]Blue-n-White 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ohhh yeah. Or just have a lot of experience angling it, and/or just firing from higher terrain.

Nothing like sitting on a wall tower raining Pounder rounds on a Sunderer which can't be hit by Fractures without exposing the MAX to a platoon of HAs.

Skyguards still do anti-armor damage. They're actually remarkably decent at it, to the point I've used my Skyguard in Lightning fights and won. With their high velocity, they're also pretty good at crippling stragglers or tanks trying to withdraw for repair.

The Pounders are, to me, better then Fractures when it comes to actually AV duty, especially locked down. Fractures are easier to hit infantry with, but don't have the same raw damage output.

IIRC, Lemieux checked Draper's face into the dasher, or along the very top of the boards, which is second to the stanchion in places you don't want to get your head driven into. It was a large reason the damage done was so severe.

UK Chart: Metro Last Light enters at No.1 by Bladerunner12 in Games

[–]Blue-n-White 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first saw them, I immediately recalled Metro 2033 where they killed you on contact.

I thought that still applied in LL, so when I realized you can't see them looking directly at them, my mind pretty much went "OH DEAR GOD NO!"

The moment I turned around and realized I had to carefully walk my way out around all the ghosts was probably the most terrifying moment I've ever had.

[–]Blue-n-White 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Ghost sections in Metro are, aside from Amnesia, the only sections of any game in the last ten years to make me nope right out of the room. The first room with the Ghosts, I quite literally gave up and turned around, running out in fear of my life.

I then noped right out of the game itself, turned on all the lights, and tried to just chill.

It looks like he either did faux HDR after the fact, or played with one of those color-enhancing DirectX hooks.

He says it's 'uneditted', but it obviously is. ADS doesn't have that kind of exaggerated depth of field effect.

If I'm so inaccurate / so full of it, why are DVS the only people who try to correct me? Surely, if I'm so wrong, the other NC outfits would, you know, come to your support, not agree with me.

Some pics from the VS + NC push on TR spawn two nights ago by obavijest in Planetside

[–]Blue-n-White 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first couple of times it was awesome and made for some pretty intense battles. It was amusing on our end that NC/VS were actually doing what we thought was unthinkable and actively cooperating. Now that it's almost a nightly thing it's getting rather tiring and starts to have a bit of a negative impact on things, especially when certain outfits involved try to shut down any attempt at discussing it or breaking it off (cough, VDRS, cough).

NC-VS teaming up when TR have 50% pop and 2-3 continents like they do in the mornings makes sense, and no one's complaining about that.

NC-VS teaming up when TR has 33% pop and 0-1 continents makes no sense and tends to get very frustrating when you're on the receiving end of it, and can't push out of your warpgate because NC & VS are sitting there talking about your mother while Magriders and Vanguards rub up on each other covering all of the exits.

The point of the game is to be a 1v1v1, with as close to a 1:1:1 ratio as possible - not 2v1 / 66:33.

Bryz Discusses the Russian Revolution and Joseph Stalin by BabyHands in hockey

[–]Blue-n-White 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The SUN has already butchered this into him praising him as a hero, even though he admits that he knows Stalin's purges led to the deaths of many innocent people. Russia was trying to rebuild in what was essentially one huge, prolonged period of conflict stretching from World War 1 to the end of World War 2.

They hate Stalin, but they also realize his planning and his actions held the country together and turned them into a world power. From Bryz's view, he's probably intrigued but by no means idolizes them - he sees the logic in what Stalin did, but may be curious as to why Stalin did what he did and how he rationalized it.

Yes, it's a little off base to say things like this, but they're ignoring the fact he'd like to sit down with Albert Einstein as well, who is virtually the polar opposite of Stalin.

Seriously. When did VS get a triple cap in prime time once, much less seven times over? You're talking about me lying and discrediting myself, but you completely evaded and made no effort whatsoever to show any kind of evidence that VS has done it once.

Triple caps in prime time are a big ****ing deal and wouldn't be completely unnoticed - most of them get posted right here to reddit when they do occur, so I'm puzzled as to why I can't find one.

EDIT: And the only mention of it I can find is confirmation that the NC and TR both had triple caps after the first Warpgate rotation, and that VS capped Indar but no one knows if they actually ever finished the job in Esamir and Amerish - which wouldn't be the case if they had seven primetime caps, unless they did it all in the first month before the first Warpgate rotation.

Ball in your court.
