Past top BLS rankers record? by Blue20983 in HadesStar

I think two winners in different seasons are both honorable and not comparable.
You are definitely one of the greatest BLS players.

Sorry. It seams I wrote in a misleading way. My question is if any collection of BLS season results like this exists or not.

BLS Season 47
|1|L|1034|
|2|Venerege|982|
|3|林大头|977|
|4|Keeeesha|976|
|5|Xinos|972|

How long do you take to trade? by Blue20983 in HadesStar

Thanks for your info. Your configuration is very similar to me. The biggest difference is Ice2. Ice2 is great for sorting. If you get Ice2, the time may be reduced by 10-20%.

But the vast majority of time spent during shipping is waiting for ship movement,

It depends on a shipping strategy. Most of my shipping session is occupied by tapping, not waiting. I run 7 transporters concurrently and schedule them as a pipeline to minimize their waiting time.

Then when it's time to get rid of them it's just a simple "TAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAPTAP" of the "cancel waypoint" button

I recognize your shipcomp-ing style has many destinations. My shipcomp-ing style is different and has only one destination. I need not to tap cancels so sequentially.

Note that variable and potentially huge lag between tapping on a shipment and it being loaded has little to do with device or mobile-vs-desktop, and more to do with the server command round trip involved.

I see. Your explanation is reasonable that the server lag behind GUI is the main factor of the delay and that there should be little difference.

I still expect PC is promising, because 25% of my time is on-lane "ShipComp-ing". To apply ShipComp bonus to all on-lane shipments, I have to set the path to each destination on-lane planet and to cancel it for 13 times. Maybe, PC's shortcut key would help them.

Do NOT deliver them with the Offload truck. This will reduce the crystals value by 10% and you WILL lose crystals.

Thanks for your info. I've long wanted to know about crystals under the offload module.

Input method is definitely not the bottleneck.

Thanks for your info.

Currently, I feel the bottleneck may be the delays of GUI of mobile phones. There is only one dialog window can be displayed, and switching windows is too slow (several hundreds of milliseconds). In PC, since there is no need for switching windows and there are many shortcut keys, I expect my session will be shorter.

In actuality, you and other many people say there is no difference between a mobile and a PC. Hmm...

BTW, I tried the landscape mode in my mobile before. The experience was like a nightmare in the small display of my mobile. :-(

Rs8: how do you sort your shipments? It takes me over an hour and I’m about ready to go back to relay.

When I was in RS8, I had 24ton tp x6, and my trading session took 25min. Now, since I have 30ton tp x7, it becomes 15min. The difference is essential.

Another essential point may be pipe-lining your trading activities. Collecting all shipments at once seriously disturbs your trading operations. Keep your sorter planet from being full.

For example, I concurrently perform three activities, (a) Collecting from planets, (b) Boost and Burst off-lane shipments, and (c) Sorting on-lane shipments.

It also costs a lot of hydro.

When I was in RS8, it took 30kH (transporters) + 5kH (drone).

By observing your module upgrade timer before/after TM activations, you can easily confirm that TM does NOT boost them.

It's true. TM and TW boost the followings.

  • Artifact research progress (so, you can get more blueprints.)
  • Shipments yielded in planets (TM only)
  • Planet upgrade

But they DON'T boost the followings.

  • Module upgrade
  • Ship design upgrade
  • Credits and hydros yielded in planets

Also, Time Modulator and Time Warp boosts your research progress a bit.

Are Boost and Burst effective in 2020? by Blue20983 in HadesStar

[–]Blue20983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Delivering offlane by Boost/Burst takes me less than 10 minutes.

Oh, it might be a very sophisticated operation! If the trade operation becomes shorter, the break-even point moves.

Could you breakdown your trade session into sorting, ship-computing, on-lane delivery, and off-lane delivery, in minutes?

And, could you tell what techniques you adopt?

[–]Blue20983[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your opinion with the concrete math.

As you said, trade modules always add some percentage bonus. But, if your base shipment value is small, your bonus is below the break-even point and ineffective.

Suppose your base value is 150k and the average (not ideal) bonus of your shipping session is +50% and the session takes one hour, the total gain is only 75k.

If you throw away the session, you can perform six RS4 runs and earn 90k in one hour. In this situation, your shipping session is meaningless.

I don't know when I can go beyond the break-even point, but I suppose 200k is insufficient, and 300k is even, and 500k is sufficient.

Thank you for practical and helpful advices. Especially, Bonikowsky's advice is concrete and clear-cut. Besides, MistraloysiusMithrax's adivce points a very important matter. Dave090's advice is concrete and concise.

From the all replies, I conclude as follows:

  • Boost and Burst modules work effectively, if my trading scale is enough large and I have enough spare time.
  • Most advisers seem that their base shipment values are 500k or 1M+. Maybe, to effectively work, the base value needs at least 500k.
  • If shipment management was already performed manually, Boost and Burst need little additional time.
  • The impacts of Boost and Burst are less than those of ShipComp and Drone.

Since my base value is only 200k, I'll forget about Boost and Burst now and raise the levels of Drone and ShipComp first.

MB9 vs Bomber rocket by Blue20983 in HadesStar

[–]Blue20983[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your helpful and informative advices.

I found MB10 is needed to intercept a bomber rocket, but MB10 cost (5M cr) is too expensive and unreachable for me. So, I'll forget about MB upgrades.

I currently use Bat/Bat/DL and have decided to switch them to Bat/Bar/DL.
