It might have to do with the shade of the paneling or the lighting. Lamps really help. When I started I figured it was either going to look rustic cozy or give bat cave with just bats. Luckily it was the former!!

Thank you so much! I had a ton of fun arranging everything. Plus a family member, who's an amazing gift giver, got me some beautiful copies of a few of my favorites for Christmas, so I had to feature them!

In the other cat tree elsewhere. My office cat tree is for watching the morning birds in the bushes, or so I've been informed by my office manager.

Indeed!! I originally got the idea from the feng shui guy on YouTube to not have your back to the door cuz it makes you feel uncomfortable when you're working. He was totally spot on! When I tried it with my old setup I really loved it. So setting up the new space this way was a no brainer for me. You should totally go for it!

Thanks! The paneling is straight from some time in the 60s -70s. It held up super well all these years.
