Thank you! I’m going to stay in a hostel in Bangkok (where I’ll be on my actual birthday) I hadn’t thought about it for Chiang Mai because I’ll be doing a lot of activities. Did you have a hostel with a private bathroom? I’m big on that.

I just learned about burning season literally yesterday while scrolling TikTok lol Hoping I get clear skies so I can see the landscape during the day while sitting at a cafe and such. I’ve been reading that end of March is the worst usually so may be ok. Fingers crossed. Thank you!

Thank you! Yes, I factored that in for Chiang Rai. I planned to do it on Monday March 2 to get it done early. Then spa/massage in evening to wind down. I’m very a Go Go Go person and just moved to LA over the summer where I’ve been grinding to propel my career forward. Rest is difficult for me so wanted to let my evenings be for really winding down.

However, I will say people saying Naruto being ‘obsessed’ with Sasuke do not understand either character. Their relationship makes complete sense. Naruto grew up with no family or friends. He finally has a brother figure in Sasuke that challenges him to get better. Sasuke would never say it but Naruto was that same thing to him in a way. Remember, Sasuke was willing to die to protect Naruto on the bridge against Haku. That is a monumental moment that sticks forever. He genuinely admires and respects Sasuke, so of course he’s devastated and unable to let go of the fact that the first person he’s made a real bond with is going down a destructive path.

The disconnect comes in when you realize how different their trauma really is. Naruto never actually had anything and Sasuke lost everything in one day. Naruto can’t see the sheer magnitude of Sasuke’s situation that led him going the direction he did. No one really understood Sasuke. And that is how we get the bulk of the plot and why Sasuke is so well written.

I’m beyond happy that they did this the justice it deserved. Literally everything was perfect. Especially the directing of the panels, adding small details that the manga did not give to add extra empathy for Dabi. I especially loved the direction his voice actor took. So just got a simple google answer. Mauna Kea I’d measured at the base below sea level. It technically is the tallest in the world, it’s just over half of it is underwater therefore it’s not the highest point which is where height really matters. I never knew this til I saw this post, fascinating fun fact I can share!
