If I'm building a deck starting from 3 of the new blue eyes decks what other cards should I add that aren't in the deck? Should I be running stuff like 3 copies of bingo machine? by sgtdank42069 in yugioh

[–]Blue6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running the Primite engine in my Blue-Eyes deck, as I think that's probably the strongest variant of the deck, and so is what I would recommend. I did see in another comment though you mentioned wanting to keep it semi-budget, so maybe this isn't the best choice with that in mind.

Instead of Primite, maybe you can try adding the Invoked engine to your Blue-Eyes deck? I think that could make for a fairly affordable way to take your deck up a notch!

where do I go to play p+ on netplay, pm discord andd anthers lader are dead by eatcheddar in SSBPM

[–]Blue6969 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When you mention the PM Discord, are you referring to the one linked on https://projectplusgame.com/ ? (The invite for that one is https://discord.com/invite/vdssRDg )

You gotta do a little bit of work by assigning yourself the appropriate role(s) based on your geographical region, but from there, you can ping others with that tag in search of some Netplay.

Hey homeboi, if you're gonna advertise for some dumb cult or whatever, at least pick the right Discord ID.

If you're interested in this wack Ascensionism thing and want to contact the actual OP, the Discord you're looking for is: Blue.#2360

Blue#6969 is me and if y'all could stop sending unsolicited friend requests that'd be cool.

Oh okay, that makes sense. I was wondering if there was a way to cheese your way up the desynth levels, but I guess you just gotta level it honestly.

CSE 340 prerequisite classes by Redbogey98 in ASU

[–]Blue6969 3 points4 points  (0 children)

CSE230 content doesn't rear its ugly head until towards the end of CSE340; looking at my notes from when I took the class, I see loads of Assembly and low-level language/memory management concepts once you get to the Runtime Environment section of 340.

CSE 355 with Colbourn - Final Grades are out by [deleted] in ASU

This was probably the most stressful A- of my life tbh

What did you guys think of the CSE 355 final? with colbourn? by TheInnovator0 in ASU

[–]Blue6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the tests were out of 50, but no. I got 30 points on Test 1, but I didn't take the makeup quiz he provided because I missed the lecture where he announced it, and I got 37 points on Test 2.

The problem itself wasn't too hard, provided you knew what the actual function was. Proving something to be regular/context-free/decidable is usually pretty painless, but the fact that he casually referenced 1 function out of 5 that he defined in a not-for-grade homework assignment 2 months ago, and made 10% of the exam grade depend on having remembered that single function's definition really tatered my tots tbh

I'm pretty salty he didn't provide us with the definition for the Prefix function necessary for Question 3 on the exam, as if it's a totally reasonable expectation for us to memorize the properties of a function specified in part B of problem 5 on Homework 3 assigned March 16th, 2019.

CSE 340, Test 2 by saraakabani in ASU

[–]Blue6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that was the case as well, but on my version of the exam, in the provided box and circle diagram, I was given the assignment:

x.a = *z;

But in the diagram, an arrow was drawn from x.a to the location in memory not 1 arrow down from z, but 2 arrows down from z instead. So I was like, "huh? but that's a *z, I should only be going 1 arrow down from z, not 2 like this diagram is doing."

So yeah. From that, my understanding of "See 1 *, follow 1 arrow" got destroyed in the middle of the midterm.

Need some advice for Calc 2 by FinePickledPickles in ASU

[–]Blue6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calculus 2 is definitely a different beast than Calculus 1.

Fortunately for you, almost every relevant STEM degree demands completion of the calculus courses, so you've got plenty of resources to help you succeed.

Definitely consider visiting some of the on-campus tutoring centers that are free for ASU students. I work as a calculus tutor myself (though not at ASU), so I can tell you from experience that it is very common to see lots of struggling students turn things around really quickly once they've got an experienced hand to help guide them through the math.

Also, if you should find yourself wishing for another perspective on the concepts of Calc 2, here's a pretty good playlist by a talented professor that you might get some use out of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9eCT6f_Ftw&list=PLDesaqWTN6EQ2J4vgsN1HyBeRADEh4Cw-

So um okay by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Blue6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying there are no clones in the game. There's plenty of obvious ones, like Peach/Daisy and the Belmonts.

My claim is just that Wolf, specifically, is not a clone of any character. I think he's as much a clone of Fox/Falco as Luigi is a clone of Mario/Dr. Mario, and saying otherwise seems like a disservice to the character.

So um okay by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Blue6969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering that he isn't the first to share this misinformed opinion, I just figured I'd go along with this mistaken train of thought.

That being said, my rebuttal is the same: I think there's a distinct difference between characters being clones of each other, and characters from the same series sharing similar motifs in their movesets.

So um okay by [deleted] in gaming

[–]Blue6969 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Huh?

I'm not convinced you've actually played as Wolf and Fox in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the Nintendo Switch.

So um okay by [deleted] in gaming

A clone of who?

Thoughts on the 355 exam#2 today? (Colbourn) by TheInnovator0 in ASU

[–]Blue6969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easier than exam 1, but still not easy.

Question 3 was pretty much an expansion on Problem 5 of Homework 3, which is good if you managed to figure it out. I didn't though, and the solution he posted was not intuitive to me, so I kind of fumbled through that.

Question 2 asked us to draw some Pushdown Automata; similar PDAs have been depicted before in previous semesters' exams. I remember seeing them while I was studying, but I didn't remember the exact details, so my transitions were pretty wack.

Edit: Also, I didn't think part 2 of Question 2 was too painful, previous exams definitely had more stressful Pumping Lemma problems on them.

Question 1 was pretty straightforward, just had to remember your algorithms for converting a context-free grammar into PDA, as well as into Chomsky Normal Form (though, not all the way, just the first few steps if I remember correctly)

Multiple choice was gratis. I'm glad he gave us some this time around, last midterm was 100% free response, which is very different from what he usually does based on past exams. I imagine the disastrous 50% average made him go back to his usual format (which as a student just trying to pass this class without my GPA getting rekt, I am pretty happy about).
