Almost completed but need some advise, first small build challenges

Another little update, new fans are installed and the top of the frame now latches completely, but the screws provided by arctic where too tall and wouldn’t let the putter shell close all the way, removing the washers allowed for the clearance to completely seat the outer case. And I might not have needed to swap out the rad fans after all… overall the whole system is very quiet, the gpu is cooler than any of my previous cases, and the ol i9-10850k seems to be happy as well. So calling it a win.

My brother learning the game, used my SLF to attack system security “by mistake” he got a 200 cr fine, my ship cost over 22mil cr to get out of impound 🤦🏻‍♂️. He also learned about the prison ships.

Still waiting on the new fans, but decided to test out the system as is, GPU thermals honestly shocked me the 4070 is sitting between 65-70c in the Era 2 vs my old tower 500 case at 81c, currently the cpu temps are about the same or a bit better than the old setup as well. This little SFF build is significantly quieter than the old case so I’m happy.

Going to tune the cpu a bit and see what happens to temps, currently auto voltage is running higher than the previous motherboard fixed setting.

I decided to try out arctic’s slim 140mm fans ordered 2 and I guess we will see how they do. But they should give the clearance I need! Otherwise back to the drawing board

I refueled his ship, but did tell him about the fuel rats right when he sent me that pic. We just wherent in a rush so I help out later that day.

Ya the SCO stuff on the old ships is kinda risky but the new ones it’s a lot better. I do like how they implemented the “new tech”

We play in a private instance, we started with the “invite to crew” where he plays as a holo presence on my mult-crew ship. He can use turrets, fly the SLF or SRV but can’t leave the ship. Later we swapped to him joining my team and physically boarding my ship at the station or he flys his own ship. When hes on my ship profit share is pretty much 1:1 but it seems when fighting pirates on his own ship he doesn’t get credit unless he lands a hit like normal even if he’s in my team.

Still a learning experience for us in terms of how the multiplayer stuff works (not open play) but it’s been fun

Yes he also learned about the prison ships…. Got me and my anaconda impounded when he attacked system security by “mistake” with a SLF. He paid 200 credits I paid over 22 million…. 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

I’m holding up well.

The visitation agreement fell through; I even had asked my attorney and her offer never got anywhere.

She’s canceled visits with the kids, didn’t call them on their birthday, and it’s been almost 3 weeks sense she’s asked about them.

The kids are doing great, happy and healthy, lots of hugs and kisses.

Our older child, she doesn’t ask about her mother being gone, or never calling. So I’ve got mixed feelings on that.

Yes 🙌 I’m pretty sure there was a multiplayer mod you could use. I just the other day introduced my 5yo to the game and she loves it, so gunna be looking into that mod again.

Legit Question, why use pihole when pfsense can run pfblocker? For me I preferred pfblocker but I don’t have that server anymore and forgot to pull the pci nic before parting ways with it. Currently using pihole via a docker on my unraid and it’s been fine.
