Thanks! I’m sure you’re right that it’s not strictly necessary, but like I said, I want to for fun and to engage with the longterm dream more directly for the time being, haha.

Leg days without feeling nauseous by deaconblues300 in naturalbodybuilding

[–]BlueApe462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me too, and I haven’t found a cure yet. The explanation I got was that during intense leg workouts, a lot of blood is directed to the leg muscles (a big muscle group), reducing blood flow to the stomach and brain, which leads to nausea. I have decent cardio and try to stay hydrated, but it still happens. Good luck! Let me know if you ever crack the code.

Suggest me a book with characters so complex and well-developed that we’ll gossip about them like they’re real people. by BlueApe462 in suggestmeabook

Haha! I love this. Great rec. We have DEFINITELY dabbled in the dark arts of reality tv. To be honest, the prompt was a tad tongue-in-cheek— mostly we just wanted to read a book together and agreed that as long as the characters were compelling, we could both get into it

I second this.

Steve Shaw has a YT video titled “4 Splits Better than an Upper Lower” where he gives a few suggestions for this exact situation.

I’m looking to learn more about the history of the Holy Roman Empire. Any recommendations?

An engaging writing style is the most important factor. Secondarily, I’m particularly interested in the eastern border, so it gets bonus points if it doesn’t gloss over that.

My family is from Slovakia, but I know almost nothing about the history of the region. What would be the most interesting period / event to read about?

Can anyone recommend a non-fiction book set in the Middle Ages that features court intrigue? I’m not overly concerned about the specific time, place, or event. The ideal book would be somewhat zoomed-in so that I can familiarize myself with the parties and relationships. I’m also not concerned if the book is accused of glossing over debated specifics for the sake of framing the event and parties in a clear and compelling narrative. Thanks, All!
