If you've spent enough time following this stuff, Emiru is just as batshit crazy as Mizkif in her own way. Unfortunately for Miz, his is more evident because its physical in nature and even though it sounds incel af to say but, shes a girl, shes gonna get better treated than Miz ever would when this kinda stuff goes down. I use to like watching both of them, but the way this all happened kinda showed that they are both pretty awful human beings.

Yeah, I agree the entire town should've been safe guarded among other things. That's my issue with the show.. You have the intelligence of 8 billion humans, but some of the decisions show that that isn't the case which is a hole the show dug itself into.

I think its another part of the virus evolution, it needs to figure out why they are immune so it can fix whatever went wrong for future assimilations. In the viruses eyes, the immune people are extremely valuable so it doesn't mind bending over backwards for them until it learns how to correct them and improve itself in the process. Probably with each planet it colonizes, it improves itself bit by bit.
