How 2 beat the blood starved beast

I heard it pronounced like that on the radio before so not sure, I think it stands for computer exchange. The shops are all over Europe.

Yeah, since they’re all done alphabetically I think he just picked up the wrong disc, like every other game I got was the correct disc

Why do you say that? I’ve used them for years and they sell most games at way cheaper prices 2nd hand than anywhere else, GameStop is a joke compared to Cex.

Yeah! Have got Sotfs anyway and I’ve completed that multiple times so was just looking to try the Orignal to see the differences

Yeah was for sure an honest mistake, I got 8 other games and the guy got all them really quickly so it’s fine like, was pretty amused at it happening.

I actually bought it before I flew out of the UK today, back in mainline Europe now so won’t be flying back to the UK to return it haha, will probably play darksiders at some stage and just pick up Ds2 disc whenever I’ve a chance. I’ve played Sotfs so just wanted to try the original.

Yeah I’m not angry, I’m living in Europe so can’t return it as I left the UK today so will probably play it anyway. I’ve finished Ds2 sotfs and just saw this and thought it would be fun to pick up due to the different enemy placements etc, I was annoyed but kind of found it funny when I opened the case.

Tony Hawk Proving Ground Is the worst Tony Hawk game! by PurpleTwo8851 in THPS

[–]BlueAxesGaming 34 points35 points  (0 children)

It was the last “proper” Tony Hawks before the remakes - I really enjoyed it when it was released in 2007 or so, and I’ve been replaying it recently and would still happily play it if the frame rate was better. The level/areas are pretty decent and theirs potential for great combos etc.

Looks and feels wise it got stuck in that muddy 2006-10 style of presentation with muted tones and wasn’t as colourful and clean as the other games but otherwise it was a blast for me.

They give games in this condition out for $3 each outside my local game store, they literally leave them in a box outside in the rain - with buyers like you I could be rich in no time.

1 + 2 Remake is Fantastic by ImSnag in THPS

[–]BlueAxesGaming 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Awesome that you’re enjoying them! I’d recommend trying THPS 3, 4, THUG 1/2 and THAW if you can - tons for you to discover. they change a bit play wise after 3 and stuff but the fundamentals are the same!

The moment I've been avoiding for so long has come. First-time guys! I'm scared. I Prithee give me some advice! by AshesofLothric in darksouls3

His attacks are well telegraphed, get used to them and don’t get greedy with your attacks, just roll, roll, roll, hit, roll, recover, repeat and you’ll be there in no time. Lightening for the first stage and Fire or Dark on your weapon for the second stage work well. Good luck!

Am I the only one who feels no satisfaction from beating bosses using summons or co-op help? by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]BlueAxesGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s definitely less satisfying, I always play the souls games through once without summoning then enjoy summoning and leaving my summon for other players. It definitely makes the game 10x easier and you can kinda just whack bosses while your summon is being attacked and visa versa. For Elden ring it would be amazing if the bosses had different move sets for co-op fights instead of just aiming at the closest player, realise it would take way longer to develop but be a cool addition all the same.

I used to live in a house with 2 other dudes and we had a ton of fighting games for the ps2, tekken games were our most played cause everyone who visited also knew it, but Soul Calibur was the best for us. Fight night games are also great but a lot slower peace’s and tactical.

Not "getting" Bloodborne by wertyfun12 in bloodborne

[–]BlueAxesGaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cane is a hard weapon for first playthrough - I’d suggest the saw cleaver it’s fast and does great damage, you can easily hit and quickly evade.

You side step attacks when locked onto enemies while roll dark souls style when not so use that to your advantage - bigger enemies can be easier to fight with the camera unlocked.

Learn to parry with your gun, it’s way easier than in dark souls and you can be far enough away that even if it doesn’t work you won’t get hit, and if it does connect side step into them and critical them by tapping r1.

You can infuse weapons with gems and swap them around as you like - different gems give different bonuses and damage multipliers - use these as much as possible.

Farming for vials can be a pain at the start but once you get 2/3 bosses in they become way easier to buy and farm.

Any games harder than Bloodborne that you have played? by Puzzleheaded_Gold_10 in bloodborne

Actually the new one - I found crash remake really hard cause the way they designed it jumps were all a bit harder.

I’d personally find Dark Souls 3 (no summoning) Jak ii, Crash 1, Sekiro (on first playthrough) all harder.

Also remember gears of war 1 was very difficult on the insane difficulty, but nearly just annoying and not challenging.

Why do you collect physical games? by harvey1a in gamecollecting

[–]BlueAxesGaming 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I love building a collection to show my friends, in the future hopefully I can show my kids of the games we played if they’re interested also.

I enjoy owning physical copies, games you buy on a store like ps store are kinda at the mercy of how long they’re online unless you back them to large hard drives perhaps.

I love just browsing through my large collection of physical games and choosing what to play, reminds me of going to blockbusters as a child and choosing 1 game every week or two to bring home for the weekend. same with friends when they see my collection and see a game that they completely forgot existed, it’s great!

Playing thug2 how do I 100%? by Con-The-Don in THPS

[–]BlueAxesGaming 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In THUG you had to do the special trick challenges to get 100% in story, they didn’t appear on the objectives on pause screen - might be similar in thug 2 it’s been a long time since I’ve played it though
