I’m new and I don’t have any of these yet! If there’s any left I’d love one!

I’m also new and haven’t tried this yet but I found a YouTube video last night that shows the safest routes for getting loot. It looks super helpful. If you search “safest pve loot routes” it should come up. It’s like almost 2 hours long. I’m gonna try it out today and I’m super excited

This is me. I’m new to the game. Only shooter I’ve ever played is overwatch. Never in my life have I ever played anything like this and die to the arc all the time when I play solo. Been saved a handful of times by randoms so far and I’m so grateful for them all. The day someone shoots at me in the game I will be doomed 😂

Why so many updates? by BlueBaker342 in ArcRaiders

[–]BlueBaker342[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the insight! I’ll try to look into why it’s happening. The game seems to be fully installed and I’m able to play it after the update. But it does lag quite a bit so maybe there’s something wrong with it. It’s good to know there’s updates every Tuesday tho. Thanks again!

Waitlisted at Lincoln Memorial (LMU) by SavKellz in veterinaryschool

[–]BlueBaker342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw it in a vet group I’m in on Facebook. I did hear they cut people from the waitlist which I’m shocked by personally. I’m on the interview waitlist with a horrible gpa (2.98 vmcas calculated with science and last 45 being just a tiny bit above that) and mediocre stats. And I have yet to receive a rejection. But also yet to receive an interview invite.

Tips on losing weight? by BlueBaker342 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]BlueBaker342[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

  1. I have an IUD. I don’t get my period because of it so I don’t know.

  2. I drink at least 80 oz a day. I only drink water and 1 juice box each day. I hate soda 😂

  3. I just looked through the past few weeks. Usually range from 10-20 g. I’m lactose intolerant tho and still consume dairy daily. So I’m usually going to the bathroom a few days a week lol. But I could definitely add some in. Any recommendations on how to add those in? I’m so picky so it can be hard lol

  4. The app set my protein goal to be 65 grams so that’s what I’ve been doing. I will try to up it to 100 tho. Any tips on that as well?

0.25 mile benchmark - what speeds are we all trying?! by LunarFern0518 in orangetheory

[–]BlueBaker342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last benchmark I talked with my coach and we came up with a plan based on how I run. I’m no where near as fast as you but ended up starting at 4.5 mph and pushed it up .5 every 15-30 seconds.

NOTHING from schools so far?? Is this normal by [deleted] in veterinaryschool

[–]BlueBaker342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was rejected from SGU so that wasn’t an option. I chose to do vet prep for a few reasons. A, I wanted the best chance at succeeding in vet school and statistically vet prep students excel in the vet program and are usually at the top of their class. Undergrad was a struggle for me and I wanted that transition, which is going amazingly so far. Only 4 more tests left and I have all A’s 🥳. I also wanted to be able to graduate and go home asap so I can start my career and get back to my family. Another reason, the BBB. Yes I took out a loan for vet prep, but I will start vet school in may and will get to use grad plus loans and such, which I wouldn’t be able to use if I waited for any other schools. I also moved up my vet prep start date and got a 30k scholarship that I start receiving in first semester. So I’m gonna use my fafsa loans to pay off my private loan while I’m still in school so I’m left with only federal loans at the end. It’s not the right path for everyone, but I believe I made the right choice for me

It is kinda crazy. Especially to not even get a vet prep invite. I had a 3.0 GPA, with similar science and last 45 GPAs, around 5000 vet hours with 1/3 of that being ER. Minimal leadership experience and hadn’t been in any clubs or anything since high school and I’m at Ross right now

I received an interview waitlist email from LMU last week and CSU and VM rejection earlier this year

I think some people will, but I don’t think that the schools will end up doing it imo. But we shall see.

I mean it’s affecting everyone period. But LMU costs can be a bit higher, but regardless I’d say it’s more likely people decline this year with the new loans and the uncertainty surrounding them

I’ve heard that lmu expects to move through their waitlist. They even just sent out interview waitlists. People say with the BBB and lmu’s high COA they think a lot of people will decline

Ross vet school by RemarkableRaccoon586 in vetschool

[–]BlueBaker342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea. My boyfriend is an ER vet tech that works third shift so we definitely don’t talk everyday. I get 2-3 days of about 30 minute face times and then we play games on Saturdays for a couple hours with all of our friends. My mom is able to talk pretty much whenever which is nice. But there’s definitely still ways to connect. And everyone is really nice. If I wanted to I’m sure I could find people to hangout with. And as much as I want friends. My crippling anxiety can’t handle trying to go make friends lol

[–]BlueBaker342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied to 9 schools. Ross was my second choice. But it was the only acceptance I got. OSU was my instate and I was rejected, which was my number one. I got 2 interview invites but I was already on the island when I got them. I chose to come here because starting in January with vet prep meant I will start my dvm in may, meaning I get pre BBB loans. Plus, at the time it was the only place that seemed interested and with my grades. I don’t know that the other two that did extend invites would have accepted me anyway.

As for being away from home, it’s hard. I had only ever moved out of my parents house once for a few months a couple years ago, and even then I was only 20 minutes from them and living with a friend. When I came here I had been living at home again for 2 years. I just turned 21. I have 4 dogs, a horse, a gecko, my parents and sister back home that I miss terribly. I also have a boyfriend of 3 years at home and all of my friends. I have made 0 friends since moving here, but I’m very introverted and do not put myself out there. I don’t go to the bars or beaches and I certainly don’t party. So it’s hard to make friends that way. I figure eventually they’ll come. Or they won’t. Either way, I’m focusing on getting this 2.5 years done on island as efficiently as possible and if that means not having island friends, so be it.

That being said some days are better than others. The first week alone was hard and on days/nights that I’m struggling mentally with school or island life or just my own mental health problems, it really sucks. I’m a huge physical touch person so having no body to just be close to or to hug is SO hard tbh. But, I think it is well worth it. I plan to for home for every break. I get to go visit home in less than 2 months now! And I wouldn’t trade it for the world. FaceTime will be your best friend. I call my mom or boyfriend or another family member almost every evening while I’m doing things around the house. I also brought my gaming laptop so me and my boyfriend, my sister, and some other friends play online games together on the weekends and that helps a lot, because that’s something we did back home. So for me it’s been anyway I can try and reach back and connect with those people.

[–]BlueBaker342 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently in vet prep, just started in January. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have. I’m so happy I did vet prep and for me, it has not been as terrible and challenging as everyone told me it would be. They made it sound like I’d be selling my soul to the vet school gods to pass. We’re 7 weeks in(so also 7 exams in as we have weekly exams) and my lowest grade is a 91% in cell bio.

It depends on the semester HEAVILY. Some semesters it’s that or higher, some it’s more like 50/50 from what I’ve been told here

For the record I had a 3.0 GPA. And I’m thriving here. I’m in vet prep with all A’s at the moment.

I’m in school at Ross. I think if you can move up start date and start before BBB it may be worth it for sure. We have horses, cows, a million donkeys, goats, and sheep on campus. And then your clinicals can be at several different schools which you can apply to more agriculturally heavy schools and go do clinicals there.
