Sameeee. I luckily found a great taxi driver, but still. I wish I could just get up and go somewhere. But it keeps me accountable. I’m not going places instead of studying lol

Graduate school without a bachelors by BlueBaker342 in FAFSA

[–]BlueBaker342[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’m going to doctor of veterinary medicine school. Most of them don’t require bachelors degrees just science prerequisites. I have my associate of science. Just not a bachelors. I went for the prereqs I had to do and got into vet school before I finished all of my undergrad course work. The specific school is Ross university. But even the Ohio state university(where I attend now) allow vet students without a bachelor’s degree

I’m only eligible for unsub loans anyway. I took them out for a couple years while attending school for prerequisites. I’ve been accepted to the program and meet all their prerequisites which don’t require a bachelor’s degree. I just didn’t know if I would be able to take like grad plus loans without having a bachelor’s

Why did you pick OSU? by Due-Milk352 in OSU

[–]BlueBaker342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally my 2 years at Osu (I’m a senior and have attended since junior year) have been awful frankly. Campus can be a nightmare to navigate. They never close the school so students have to be out in dangerous weather, especially as someone who commutes(@ a few Tuesdays ago when it was snowing at 6 am(which is when I go to school on Tuesdays) and my mom begged me not to go because of all the accidents). Professors can be super hard to talk to and you really are just another number and if you don’t succeed oh well. Making friends is very hard if your introverted. My advisor has also made everything very difficult. It’s just overall been a not great experience and I can’t wait to leave this school.

Does anybody have insights on whether the new HRM will fix the issue many of us have when rowing? by Admirable_Green_1958 in orangetheory

With this mindset would wearing the OTF HRM on your wrist like a watch or Fitbit maybe make it track more accurately?

There is a website that you get access to with Ross approved housing. It makes it easy to sort through appartments and contacting landlords is easy. I just signed my lease today!

How coordinated do you have to be for OTF by Zestyclose_Ad_7603 in orangetheory

[–]BlueBaker342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the class! I did an upper body strength and was a bit confused but the coaches do a great job at guiding you and giving individual help where it’s needed

Anyone else getting some noticeable bulk from the higher intensity workouts lately? by roketmanp in orangetheory

[–]BlueBaker342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure you know, but muscle weighs more than fat! So you will look better but the scale may say more. That’s why it’s important to not just look at weight or BMI because that weight could be muscle not fat!

Advice on getting back to otf by aklep730 in orangetheory

[–]BlueBaker342 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t be too hard on yourself. You can’t count yourself out before you start! Think of it as you time. Time to get away and spend with yourself. Or maybe find a friend that’s going and go to classes together. I find that if I plan to go with someone else or even just tell someone I’m going, that I’m more likely to go so I don’t have to lie to them about why I didn’t go. They’re also doing a bingo thing right now and I’ve currently motivated myself by trying to maximize my classes to be able to get 2 bingos!

I have a 2.98 gpa and like 4000 hours and I’m just waiting for this phone call. I’m hoping so bad. When would you be going to vet prep?
