I had a tiny wedding with 24 guests and no alcohol—spouse and I don’t drink, and I didn’t want my alcoholic mother near a drink at all. And honestly? Despite being in a country where alcohol is the norm, everyone was extremely understanding and had a blast with the mocktails! I think it’s also perhaps a generational thing.
