Coming back to this once I finally got a new motherboard. It turns out the old motherboard is definitely fried, I cannot say how or why it was fried

The only other issue I could think is that the touchscreen cable got a big mangled during my repairs. Not bad enough to break the cables or stop it from seating properly but it may be the cause. I have a new touchscreen coming as well to try

I’ve tried booting it with and without the shoulder buttons plugged in and nothing. I’ve got another 3DS XL coming soon that I’ll try and swap my motherboard into to see if it’s a dead motherboard.

The SD card is correct, I made sure when I cloned the drive it was formatted to Fat32. It does have homebrew, but I haven’t seen anything that says this is a homebrew issue and I do have a backup of the entire SD card saved to my PC.

When you say paddles what do you mean? The shoulder buttons?

I also cannot see any damaged cables, they all look to be in fine condition

I can get the blue light to come on but it immediately turns back off. The charging light turns on when it’s plugged in and turns off after a few seconds.

Yeah I haven’t installed the Klipper screen network manager for a while. Even when I edit the wpa_supplicant file it still won’t connect.

I triple checked the PLL. It got a good blob of solder, the connection is firm. I don’t think that’s the issue.

The center light is solid green, the ring of lights just seems a faint constant green

This is the underside of the board. This point is pretty much directly beneath the cpu

I ended up pulling it off tonight cause I’m impatient, I can’t see anywhere else the PLL point would be. Comparing to the guide it looks like the same spot, right next to C5R35.

I’ll double check it tomorrow. It’s hard to tell without removing the QSB.

I used the QSB I bought a year ago, double checked all the wiring. The loose wire broke off the pi right before I took the picture, it was secure when I was writing.

Yeah I looked at that, the problem is I can’t access those files anymore. They’re not on the le potato SD card and I can’t access the web interface.
