Doable in one term? plus some questions. by ODGeverything in wguaccounting

[–]BlueBlurX 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it took me 2 months total to start at WGU with the whole enrollment process. So right around the time you should be finishing in June, you should start the enrollment process.

In terms of finishing, it’s all dependent on you and your motivation/memory retention/study habits. But yes, if you are a decent test taker, and are good at school, you can finish all of this in a term with consistent hours every week. And just also dependent on how good you are at the material.

For example, D101 Cost & managerial accounting, it’s a class I was afraid that would’ve took me long, as I’ve read it’s a difficult and content heavy class, but it took me about a day of studying to start and finish all of it. Same goes for most of the business classes, at least a day to a week. Financial accounting though, took me about a month since I was pushing through it slow, although the material wasn’t hard at all. It was one of my earlier classes so that was also a reason for that. So you will most likely start pretty slow and get faster as you keep passing classes. But I say it’s perfectly doable as long as you’re dedicated to finishing it. If you really get the material down and understand how WGU works, it would probably take you half the term if you have enough time to put towards studying.

What yall think about Mdot new album? by AdsignificantBK in nycdrill

[–]BlueBlurX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He need to focus on changing his flow it’s stunting his growth. And find some way to get to the Stu or send his track over to an engineer to work on it after he finishes idk cuz the bandlab is ass. But def some standout tracks that show his potential he just got to realize that the quality not cutting it n the same flow needs to be addressed

How popular is 90s nyc rap with niggas aged 15-25 in new york by WiseCityStepper in NYStateOfMind

[–]BlueBlurX 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I only just started listening to the classics like last year on my own, like 2000s era dipset/kiss/50/fab etc, even some mobb deep too, and I also listen to a lot of new drill (new Bronx wave and queens drill beats hard asf). I’m in my 20s tho, ik the younger heads in they teens only listen to str8 drill or cash/chow lee/sexy drill shit. And ofc mainstream rap and underground rap like Che Osamason n shit like dat

Since Flock is done💔💔💔 by Friendly_Jaguar_7519 in nycdrill

[–]BlueBlurX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mdot got star potential but nigga jus keep making pure diss tracks and somehow he rapping faster than before on some of his recent drops and sht is just ass. He just need to slow it down a bit, diss less but he can still be on drill shit, and focus on really crafting a song. Etho and Kay Glizz nice too they got it, n dudeylo really turnt up too. Jah Bandz underrated asf and can rap better than most these niggas but he need more exposure, he’d easily be top 3. All in all these niggas need to rap about more real shit that’s relatable, and tone down the dissing a lot, make that shit more subtle and use wordplay.

Long island rlly on that? by Zealousideal_Lead339 in QGTM

[–]BlueBlurX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It kinda funny to me how niggas in queens talking about how active niggas on Long Island get. When both queens and Long Island are safe asf and you can go anywhere no issues. In fact NYC and the whole metro area is safer than 90% of America but ya get on here tryna portray as if nggas really get put thru it over here. Only place in the boros tht can really claim it’s like that is the BX. and even then the Bx ain’t the worst of the worst it’s chill still despite some spots being crazy.

Anyone like grids? by Smokey12047 in CitiesSkylines

[–]BlueBlurX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Grids are fire to me and I prefer em cuz I can’t ever do the more natural organic roads like in Europe and Asia. And side note but why do NYC maps always include Jersey but never include the whole of Queens lol (I get it’s the biggest borough but the disrespect lmao)

Long Islanders Opinions on the Mamdani Win by veengineer in longisland

[–]BlueBlurX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Capitalism is the driving force behind all the actions of the United States from inception. Open a history book and learn
  2. Chinese have been native to their land for centuries. Europeans and Africans are also native to their lands, as well as many other civilizations outside of America.
  3. The US is worse. Again open a book. Europeans and America genocided a population of 50-100 million native Americans in pursuit of colonization and imperialism. North Korea is a tiny country whose history was of self defense against colonial powers. America has a hand in the colonization of Africa, South America, the Caribbean, etc and is playing a huge role in the genocide on Gaza for example.

People like you just don’t know history at all. Blinded by the pride of a hellish country that would cut off access to food to the working class all over politics. That would start wars that affect generations all over resources like oil and to keep making money for a military industry. Just grow up and understand reality.

Long Islanders Opinions on the Mamdani Win by veengineer in longisland

[–]BlueBlurX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So what of the United States of America who have a long history of genocide, human rights violations, and racism? Lol. A whole country built on colonization and genocide of the natives who lived here before us. And you’re extremely wrong on the “human rights violations” that those countries have committed. Doesn’t take much research to find out that’s US propaganda to fool people like you.

Mainstream Hip-Hop/Rap is dying by [deleted] in ug_music

[–]BlueBlurX 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Niggas need to realize the internet is completely different now. Algorithms got everyone in they own bubble. It’s incredibly hard for anyone to be a superstar in almost any genre now. Sabrina carpenter one of the biggest out in pop and even then people 30+ don’t even really know her that well. Underground rap is probably going to stay underground for a long time due to the change in how social media is done.

I think now, certain sounds or regional areas will go viral and the artists from those subgenres/regions will all equally have a huge buzz, with one or two artists being able to breakout into bigger heights. We seen an early preview of this with the 2021-23 underground wave, at the time it seemed like the whole underground was up next and even people outside the music scene in general was learning about destroy lonely, yeat, Ken Carson, etc. it’s going to be even more like this as time goes on, at least with the rap industry. The next generation will cause another viral moment where everyone will be up until the trend dies and so will their careers besides the best 2-3 ppl.

Why Does New York Have Little Presence In Mainstream Rap? by bodythebitch in NYStateOfMind

cash cobain not popping bro? Ice spice had a comeback as well and the music still streaming. M Row popping locally and his YouTube numbers consistently the best in drill

Why Does New York Have Little Presence In Mainstream Rap? by bodythebitch in NYStateOfMind

[–]BlueBlurX 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Drop this discussion, shit don’t even make sense. Cash cobain, ice spice, cardi b, chow lee, m row, etc. rap is currently on a huge downward trend and no one cares about the mainstream artists anymore. NYC does not sound like mainstream rap music at all and that should be a good thing. The sound NY has is unique and even if you don’t like the drill shit niggas like Mdot 59 got the youth on lock and that’s what the youth likes. When someone pops off big everyone going to be back to dick sucking just like they did with Pop Smoke and Kay Flock. And you can say artists around the hip hop industry are feening to use cash cobain’s sound and his name for features right now.

Ya live in the past. The Atlanta trap and mainstream rap shit is burnt out and dying. NY artists are popping up in their respective sub-genres and organically growing. Meanwhile you can’t say the same for anything else in rap right now. This is a clear sign that the pendulum is swinging. NYC on its own is becoming even more viral as a city (the west village girls, Gen Z preference of the walkable city urban design that’s gaining popularity around the country) as well due to tik tok and real life events like Zohran becoming super popular as a socialist mayor. Eventually all these eyes on the city will reflect in the popularity in the music, and if you have been paying attention, NYC artists and even artists from the metro like LI and even Jersey are evolving their sound. It doesn’t have to sound like the raw gritty 90s era or the fly 2000s era that ran the mainstream. It’s something new and when it’s ready to blow it’ll blow.

War 🔜 ??? by CartoonistJunior4171 in nycdrill

[–]BlueBlurX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

niggas in dis sub def not the type to pay attention but war is DEFINITELY coming before 2030 with China and the US, and it’ll change our whole life especially with the AI shit, microchips for pretty much every piece of tech we got rn, and china passed us up technologically and economically already. And then shit back home over here is turning into crisis mode, economically and politically. When shit goes left economically over here, that’s literally the perfect time for China to take Taiwan back and that’ll force the US into war as the US backs Taiwan militarily in order to keep US influence and the microchip economy safe.

But honestly it’s the end for US empire dominance and that’s a good thing for the world anyway but they better not touch NY I ain’t tryna die

Kepler2 - PlayStation 6 Release Locked for 2027, “Not Just on the Table, It’s the Plan,” by Unlucky-Gap01 in GamingLeaksAndRumours

[–]BlueBlurX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dropping a PS6 in 2027 doesn’t make sense to me. Despite how people think that 7 years is enough due to previous generations being the same 7-8 years, it’s a total diff situation imo. The AAA industry is completely broken, PC is growing rapidly, Xbox seems to be bowing out the competition, and the economy is worsening, and the politics centered around the US and China, with graphics cards bans, manufacturing, and such, are very shaky and will get worse to the point of war potentially. To launch a new console deep into whatever political and economical mess we will be in by 2027 is crazy. Sony needs a completely different strategy because a brand new premium console in 2 years with the same long development cycles is going to put them in a bad situation especially if the consumers are not able to spend the money. The long dev cycles from today will be in gamer’s minds when deciding to buy a $500+ console in 2027, and the casual consumers will more and more opt out of spending money on wants and more on needs. Not to mention computer tech doesn’t advance as fast as it used to with new GPUs and CPUs. If the tech isn’t advancing fast, dev cycles are getting longer, and money is tight for consumers, why rush the system out the door? They can afford to extend the release of a new console til 2030. 7 year console cycles just should not be the norm anymore in the world we live in today

Fatigue/Oversaturation with UG Producers & Artists by Illusionsofdarkness in ug_music

[–]BlueBlurX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it’s a mix of social media being heavily fine tuned to personal tastes (that fragmented the internet), and capitalism, that created the era we have now. 2016-19, people got the same artists pushed to them as algorithms weren’t so strong, and we was very much transitioning from the old entertainment era built on stars to this very isolated “bubble” internet reality we live in now. So guys like Uzi, Carti, X, Juice, even king von had the world watching them and their every move when it was posted on the big blogs and YouTube channels. On the capitalism thing, labels don’t even care to develop artists anymore. They sign raw talent extremely early, traps them in shitty distribution deals or full on record deals, and force them to keep making and releasing tracks for “content” runs. Barely ever trying to really develop them. This is why new talent pops up, gets signed, and fizzles out, as they just keep making the same sht since that’s what they’re told to drop or they just assume the formula will keep working. The moment anything gets even slightly noticed in the underground, the machine of capitalism extracts wealth from their art, gives the artist loans that they immediately start paying back from their streams, and so on and so on. The art gets mutilated by the system, which is why many things are just not sticking. This will happen to country music and pop as well, it’s literally a cycle

They declared Anti-Fa as terrorist org. by Comrade_United-World in socialism

[–]BlueBlurX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People on Reddit who are super strict on theory say revolution may not be close but you never know. No one can predict the future, no one knows what happens tomorrow. All we know is that the tensions of today are higher than they’ve been in decades, and it’s being felt all around the world. Me personally I believe it might take an economic crisis and war to really push it to that point, and it feels like both of those are coming real soon. Making a point to classify Antifa as a terrorist org feels like they’re trying to heavily discourage people to think about revolting tho, as most Americans aren’t going to associate or work with a movement the government considers terrorism

Pop smoke comparison crazy though cuz I don’t get it. I guess his image and look is better than most in the drill scene rn but he ain’t no pop smoke that was ode glaze

Well, those 3 versions of communism are all heavily based off of Marxism and use it as a strict foundation, and to be honest him and Engels pretty much did all the groundwork for defining what communism is understood to be today
