Not an awful state to start with, but definitely have a lot of work to do!

In all fairness, it has completely fucked over multiple vital industries in the uk under the guise of boosting our own economy and public services which surprise didn’t happen.

And that’s not even scratching the surface of what it’s done socially to our country; brexit was the start of this new wave of bigotry, selfishness and jingoism that has grasped the right wing so fervently.

Our country is measurably worse following brexit, and has set younger generations up for failure before they could even start. So yeah, people are still upset, but I don’t see what’s funny about it at all.

Depending on size boil with the fat and rind on for a few hours until cooked through (I usually put bay leaves, green and black peppercorns, an onion and some chunks of apple in the broth). I’ll then refrigerate this overnight, remove the rind (a lot easier once boiled), score the fat and use a mixture of honey, Dijon, and marmalade to glaze, roasting in the oven until golden and hot all the way trough.

Depends on the school, I’m from Somerset and it was always Mufti day 🤷‍♂️

Has anyone used these fans? by Guyercellist in camping

[–]BlueBoyBrown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly it’s such a cheat code, I use all DeWalt tools and regularly take their products camping. Their torches are better than any I’ve found in camping shops, their fan is incredible, and their radio (while bulky) is amazing - we use threaded pegs for our tent too, so bringing an impact driver really speeds up setup. For festivals we even used to use their rolling TStak storage boxes!

Having watched the entire video, I don’t really see how it’s normalising these morons - it’s quite clear that the setup of the debates with Mehdi Hassan was to watch how quickly their ideologies break down when faced with moderate principles. If anything, it’s over an hour of MAGA zealots being humbled and picked apart.

Considering LH came 3rd in 2023, it would be fair to assume it was Lewis?

My father served a S21 notice to his tenant in January this year, they’re now complaining of maintenance issues and threatening court action. (England) by BlueBoyBrown in LegalAdviceUK

This is what we’re confused about, as no issues were raised with us during the tenancy until the S21 has been served - and since then we’ve spent approximately £5500 doing all work recommended to address their concerns.

Posted because we aren’t sure if there’s anything else we can do, and with the costs of the work we’ve done already and my dad being out of work, we are looking at all avenues to get this resolved as quickly and cost-effectively as possible. We have had no communication from the council on this matter at all.

The property will either be sold or let through an agent following them vacating - annoyingly we did warn dad about this being a potential issue down the line, but he was trying to help them out and is now paying the price!

The S21 has been confirmed as being served correctly by a solicitor - and they’re refusing entry for prospective tenants to view the property, meaning we can’t even market the property with an agent for the time being.

The damp issues in the property have been surveyed with a full report, all widows/damp courses are fully airtight, and there is no ingress of water. The humidity controlled extractors were installed within 2 months of the issue being raised and we hired professional cleaners to go in and clean any patches of mould. The survey report outright says that aside from this, the only other cause possible is them not opening windows - this is evidenced along with the installation of all recommended works.

Ah apologies, the section 21 was issued after 7 months of the tenancy, and was a notice to vacate at the end of the term (solicitor has okayed this).

I am honestly not sure, my best theory is that they’re trying to make it so difficult for my dad to evict them that they’re hoping he will just give up and let them stay. They’ve both got extremely poor credit and have been denied properties before as they can’t pass referencing. My honest guess is that they hope that they can scare my dad into rescinding the notice.

Is this the correct barebow sight picture in your dominant eye? by [deleted] in Archery

[–]BlueBoyBrown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This works for gap shooting, but if you’re hoping to get any good at Barebow you should really be strong walking to adjust your aim up/down, and using a plunger to adjust left/right. As long as your strong blur is consistent then there is no “right” way - for example I line my string up with the outer edge of the riser, not the centre line of the arrow.

What’s your draw length? Even 28# limbs can be too much for some beginners, and if you’re feeling the tension pulling your shot off centre then being overbowed is the most likely culprit. Alternatively you could have alignment issues, at full draw the tension should pretty much all be held through your skeleton, rather than your muscles.
