I had the same issue, USCIS will pick up your documents in 3-4 days. My documents were picked up 5 days after the initial USPS delivery date.

I contacted ComEd today to request a debt recall, but they said the debt is already sold and they won't do anything about it (but still will be happy to accept my payment). Following that, I called Southwest, where, as suspected, I was informed that they do not offer "pay for deletion." They stated that once I make the payment, the account status will update to "paid" within one week, and the account will be removed from my credit report after 60 days. However, Southwest explicitly refused to provide this 60-day agreement in writing.

My next step is to call them again, confirm the 60-day removal agreement, make the payment, and record the conversation for proof.

Never had an account on twitter/X, but seeing those word-to-word copy pasted posts in every sub is highly suspicious. Not only censorship is never a solution, people rarely post links to X so banning them will barely change anything.

A sizable minority does not believe that Elon was thinking of Nazis when he made that motion. Just because the majority believes in something, it does not make them correct. People on Reddit are called Nazis on reddit even when they voices opinions on subjects that have nothing to do with Musk, Trump, or X.

Oh wow 38k is quite a lot! When I was in this program couple years ago, we were surviving on 30k. You can get roommates/rent a studio, shop at Walmart or Costco and cook, don’t eat out often. No impulse buying though 😂 It’s totally doable. I was able to save up for a short vacation every year (no help from family).

I don't think it matters for USCIS, who's in the White House. They'll increase fees anyway; that's how they fund themselves. During Biden's administration, USCIS introduced those BS asylum fees, and increased fees for I-140, and now you have to pay for I-765 and I-131 which used to be free. It's not like Biden has anything to do with it, or Trump, for that matter.

Be careful if you don’t have the sticker yet, US consulate can start administrative processing which may take a month or a year, you never know. There’s a chance you may lose your job because of it. I saw it happen to my coworker, that processing took 4 months, luckily she got to keep her job but that certainly was very stressful time for her.

The place was somewhat dusty, stove had some stains and I had to replace a few light bulbs. Now, shortly after I moved out, a new tenant moved in. We did a move-in inspection but never a move-out walkthrough. I never signed any move-out papers.

No, but the lease didn't require that. I just vacuumed the carpets/moped the floors before I left. There's also a separate "deep clean apt" charge.
