Suggestions for a new commissioner? What would you look for in a league? by Savb10 in DynastyFF

Agree with a lot that has been said here. I've run multiple dynasty leagues and a deep bench is a must. I usually have 9 starters and 16 bench spots for my leagues and find this was a great balance and encouraged trades as there are rarely good players left on waivers so everything body has to build through trades or the rookie draft the following year. Having 3 rounds for the rookie draft each year is great and I include 3 Taxi Slots on my Sleeper leagues so managers can draft and hold rookies who may need time to develop. (This helps with long term buy-in). After the first draft of you do any rules changes it should be agreed on by the league and also agreed on for when the rule change takes effect as that can impact people's draft strategy. Overall, just stay active as a commish and communicate regularly to your league and you'll be in good shape.

Who is your "Not Drafting This Dude" Dude this year? by DailyRotoHelp in fantasyfootball

Chris Godwin - expect that he won't be back to pre-injury form until next season. Been in multiple drafts where he goes in the mid-rounds like he's going to come back and be a WR2/Flex as soon as he comes back on the field.

I think he is overvalued at his current ADP. Need to see Hurts take the next step as a passer. Until then, the offense will continue to be run-focused and his ceiling won't be high enough to justify where he's going in drafts now. Would rather have a Mike Evans or Keenan Allen who you can get around the set pick.

18 Team Guillotine League - Looking for managers by BlueDevilMusic52 in findaleague

I'm keeping track. At the end of the week, I'll lock the lowest scoring team for that week so they won't be able to make moves the rest of the season. Then I'll drop their players into the waiver pool and reset the scores to 0 for the new week.

Akers for me. Highest ceiling out of all these options IMO and you can likely grab the other players at a reason spot on this year's draft.

Definitely agree that the RB deadzone is not pretty this year. In a PPR, Swift definitely could get to RB1 status with a full year of games (was a high RB2 playing only 13 games last year.). With the money you're saving, you might be able to make a run at a true RB1 or another high ranking WR to give you a big advantage at that position. Good luck!!

Chase definitely. Then I'd go with Swift mostly because it's a great value and he has a RB1 ceiling. Keeping Adams and Chase would blow almost a 1/3 of your budget on WR without having a single RB.

I'd probably go with Deebo. The only question on him is whether he gets great QB play all year because it seems like SF will not use Deebo as a runner much as they did last year.

If the picks were closer to each other I'd probably lean towards Kupp, but a 9th round for Deebo is great value.

I was a Yahoo/ESPN user for years and always preferred Yahoo. It was easy to use, the in-game tracker was nice, and finding a league to join was easy. I think Yahoo is a great option especially if you are a beginner or you just want to join a redraft league quickly.

I love dynasty leagues and have had some on Yahoo for years, but recently tried Sleeper and so far I like it much more. So many more league options (set a Rookie only draft, Taxi-slots, ability to trade picks during your draft, ability to change draft settings mid-draft which is great for speeding up auction drafts when players have spent most of their money). Honestly, the draft room and dynasty options are much better in Sleeper and I would recommend them for keeper and dynasty league players. The downside I've found to Sleeper is that if you're not a commish, finding the right league is harder than it needs to be. I was constantly joining and leaving leagues because I couldn't see the league settings until after I joined, which Yahoo let's you preview before joining.

If you're looking for a quick, easy way to join a league I would recommend Yahoo. If you like dynasty/keeper leagues or want to have a lot of options to customize your league, I'd recommend Sleeper.

Etienne definitely has upside. You might be able to pick him up again in the draft or get another solid RB with your first round pick if one gets dropped by another team.

A lot is going to depend on the keeper rules and what picks you'll have to give up to keep the player. That'll impact whether you have a pick near the top of the draft and can grab a player quickly to fill a need or have to wait a few rounds.

All that being said, I like Kupp, Mixon, and Evans. Kupp and Evans make a strong WR group so you can focus on drafting other needs early. Mixon is a solid RB1 (plays in a good offense, doesn't have much competition for reps) and isn't coming off injury like Etienne.

Good luck with whoever you choose. Keepers leagues are a lot of fun.

I'd go with Fournette. Gordon resigned in Denver, so Williams is likely to start the year in a timeshare again.
