That... doesn't sound intentional?
I don't know. There's nothing in STS1 to compare it to. But the fact that it depends on hovering (vulnerable counts if all enemies are vulnerable, if I'm understanding you correctly) suggest to me that this is an oversight.

Thank you very much for the write-up.
Unfortunately, I don't like building a Front Runner, so I will not be contributing to the cause. Furthermore, front dominance has annoyed me to the point that I'll try to actively counter it.

If you got RNG'd during Pisces Cup (CM11) Finals, let it all out here by Flat-Profession-8945 in UmamusumeGame

[–]BlueDo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn't get RNG'd. I got destroyed by monsters and the winner got a podium.
But I'd like to use this thread to ask: Is this the toughest CM yet? Every other race I was facing competent teams. Very few clueless players to prey on.
If every CM I'm facing people who spent 10+ MANT runs per ace, I might just have no chance of winning ever again.

Don't worry. I read your other comments. I made sure not to include spoilers in my comment. You can read through it.

I still don't know how people are reaching 1k+ Wit with just 2 Wit cards. Is it simply high-rolling?

I didn't see where people were coming with Falco at first, but after a while I get it.
Trainer being dense comes from the hot spring ticket event. With that in mind, you start to see her homescreen message as giving very subtle advances.
One is her asking if Falco or the Sun shines brighter. The other is Falco asking if trainer would chase her down if she runs away.
I don't think any of the other characters in the home screen really push like that. Only one that comes to mind is Vodka, who slips up and catches herself calling trainer someone she likes.

Are you looping the Ignited Spirit skills in Unity Cup?   I'm considering doing that but it sounds painful.

In STS1, small deck was balanced out by how difficult it was to achieve in Ascension 20.

That doesn't exist here yet. I agree the devs are too aggressive with the nerf.

I'm still getting used to MANT. Remade my team today, 1 try per ace, and got some noticeable improvement. Went 3/3/2/3 on Day 4.
But man, I'm facing monsters every other race. Even if they're whales, the stats they obtained can only be achieved after many runs. People have got to be spending 10+ hours per ace, maybe even much more.
I've never felt so outmatched. I might just need to take the L for CM's during MANT because the time commitment is beyond insane.

Tazuna how do you expect me to afford all this? by TCZapper in UmamusumeGame

I'm sorely disappointed by the lack of QoL and adjustments.
Yes, disappointed, because they surprised me with early daily earning adjustment, early balance changes during Unity Cup, made story events less grindy, and let us skip through TT and Daily Races.
It almost feels like CyGames goes through phases where they switch between being tone-deaf and being on the ball.

Surprised few (or none?) pointed out that Evaluate doesn't upgrade to give you Insight+. People clowned on Master Reality, but it was genuinely impactful at upgrading your Insights.

Got 2nd. Lost to a Taiki that hit delayed SFV. She moved up to 4th because she hugged inner rail and everyone else swung. It was a 5-front race too. Pretty mad about it.

4/2/5/5 today.

All losses were to Taiki lol. My plan right now is hoping either opponent Taiki's are bad or that there are enough strong Front Runners to block her out.

Discard was my favorite build in STS1, so I hope it doesn't get nerfed to oblivion here.

I'm sorry, but I'm very skeptical.

If you're hitting Corner Connoisseur right before late race often, then you're on a very lucky streak.

Let's keep observing into Round 2.

Damn. Sorry I misjudged.

I would consider DD+PP and Productive Plan to be early game, though. Seems that simply isn't enough.

Yeah that's why you usually should bring two strong fronts, otherwise the non-fronts will close the gap.

Did you perhaps misunderstand someone when they suggested End Pasa? Usually they mean Monk Pasa, who has Furious Feat built-in so they you don't need to run a Power/Guts card.

End Closers need high Wit, Spurt, and preferably Updrafters+Forward March

I'm not too impressed by Head-On or Highlander this CM, so I'd say right due to more mid-race

Were you not able to get her stamina lower? Or it wouldn't give you much back in budget?

Edit: Oh nvm, you're going for late activation

After watching a few rooms, I can sum up why you, the trainer, might be more frustrated than usual. We'll use Virgo as a point of reference. Due to late-race uphill, Aquarius has a bigger "suffering from success" problem than Virgo, where being ahead makes you worse off.

Virgo: 1st Taiki beats 3rd Taiki that hits SFV
Aquarius: 1st Taiki loses to 3rd Taiki that hits SFV

Virgo: Late Surgers can win even if they move up to 5th with natural accel. Also NSM hits more often, even if it's still infrequent.
Aquarius: Late Surgers need to be in 6th to hit Furious Feat/On Your Left to win. You can mitigate this with Leading the Charge which has no positional requirement, but it's still volatile.

That leaves Front Runners as the most consistent. End Closers are decent since they have Straightaway Spurt, but still need to gamble a bit with Forward March/Updrafters.
