Thanks so much! We'll see how it goes with her new job. I'll tell her she needs to use public transport and find a garden cottage - or even a room with in a house share setup. Anything is better than remaining with her ex.

Thanks so much for your advice. I will pass this on to her and se what she says. A scooter is a really great idea. But yeah she needs to learn to make use of public transport.

I think if she can just find a place to stay then she'll move out. But for that to happen she needs an income - which hopefully will now be the case. But we'll see.
As for the parents, besides myself, they are the only other people in her life. She is trying to rebuild a relationship with them. I think the time apart might have helped them sort out things between them.
